New to Calorie Count Plus

Hi,

I'm new to Calorie Count Plus. Could anyone send me samples of what they eat in a day. Counting calories is all new to me and I'm a bit stressed about this.

Thanks,

Welcome to CC!  I encourage you to explore the site and the different forums, there is a ton of information, also using the search tool will give you a lot of useful links.  This one is from our Library.

1500 Calories in Three Meals-a-Day

I use the 1500 Calories in Six Meals a Day plan.  I find that small, frequent meals keep me from getting hungry and overeating.  I actually try for 1400 calories for weight loss, or 1800 for maintenance, adjusting portion sizes to suit.

Another resource I turn to is the Mayo Clinic - Using a Food Pyramid.  It helps me see what kinds of foods, in what proportions, I should be eating.

ok...that's kinda cool...I need to search the library more often...:)
Oh...and Welcome aboard! Good luck on your journey! :)
boneless skinless chicken breast baked...or 95% lean ground beef & fish are all great choices for meats...veggies are very filling and low cal...fruits are healthy, not as low cal but make great desserts. I use whole wheat bread or pita bread to reduce in calories too..and measure stuff down to the gram with a digital kitchen scale. I'm a bit anal about some things, but once you get used to doing it it's like second nature. :) good luck and we're here for any questions you have!

Welcome!

If you read back through my journals, I list my daily meals a few times a week (1500 calories a day or so!)  They may give you some ideas!
