new to calorie count want to lose last 7 pounds

Hi everyone,

like most of you I'm desperate to lose the last bit of weight. I get extremely discouraged and begin to eat badly again. I just had a baby 8 months ago. I workout on a regular basis I do Chalene Extreme weight lifting 3-4x week, boot camp 2x a week and an aerobics class 2x a week. I'm "5"7 137 pounds.  I want to get down to 130pounds. I'm going away in November. Need some motivating tips on how not to get so discouraged.

To begin with, 137 pounds is really good, espeically for your height! Many women would die to be like that after a baby. :)

I found out that if I can envision myself, say, 10 pounds lighter, it gives me a lot of motivation. Try taking some old pictures and photoshoping it, or simply draw what you think you would look like just a little skinnier.

I totally agree that weight loss is REALLY frustrating and discouraging sometimes, espeically if you see people around you losing really fast. Try not to concintrate on those around you and instead on yourself.

Make the little things count! For example, when I watch TV (read: drool over FoodNetwork) I make a deal with myself that I'll do 100 jumpingjacks every time a comercial break comes. That way I can easily squeeze in 500 extra jumpingjacks every day! Or, when I'm brushing my teeth I do the chair against the wall and try to work my way up to 2 minutes. Hope I helped!

Thank you so much. You are totally right. I'm putting too much pressure on myself. Thank you for those tips. As a women we always compare ourselves to others it really sucks.

Ashlee Simpson had the same problem, but she had found a solution.I have read on Project Weight Loss about Ashlee Simpson’s pregnancy weight diet and workout plan. She is using NutriFit meals to lose weight, as they deliver meals that are healthy and low in calories. This way she doesn’t have to worry too much about cooking or counting calories. But her husband makes it harder on her, as he brings pizza for dinner and we all know that’s called temptation.
