On occasion (when I was gung-ho about getting healthy) I visited CC to view calories, but it wasn't until two days ago that I found out about the CCPlus option! This is exactly what I've been looking for! I'm 5'7 and currently 177.6lbs. About five years ago I was at 198.9lbs and I dropped 40lbs in one summer. Since then I have never been that size again. I was a size 6/Small and loved it! Since then I've gained about 20lbs and for whatever reason I keep picturing myself at a similar shape.
I graduated with a BFA and once I was in the real world realized how hard it was to get a job with my degree so I started an office job about a month ago. Since that time I have put on about 8 lbs and can't figure out a way to squeeze gym time in. I've worked on keeping away from buying my lunch everyday from surrounding restaraunts and am making adjustments to get in better shape. I love the support this group offers and can't wait to continue with you all!
Welcome Jules!!
Staying good when you buy lunch is always a big challenge. I pack mine, usually a sandwich. Sometimes I'll have soup and sandwich. I've been on that kick more often lately and it is working out well for me. I was excited last week to find a new soup to rely on. Campbell's has a new line of Select Harvest Light soups that are very low cal. I've only tried the Italian Vegetable so far and it was good. I'm testing another flavor out today. I haven't decided which yet. I picked up a few cans from Jewel last night...they were on sale.
Alright Jules, I tried the Southwestern Vegetable and it was so/so. I liked the Italian veggie better. I tried the Chicken and Vegetable on Tuesday and that was good....better than the SW Veggie. The only other flavor I found and have yet to try is the Vegetable Beef & Barley flavor.
Have you had any luck with your lunches?
