sounds like a plan! I know I feel like if I have no one keeping me accountable for these kinds of things I also keep pushing it off. I've been doing ok so far, but I know I could do better! We've so got this.

I see from you bio thing that you got to study abroad in australia how cool is that?!?! Are you still there? I am visiting in England now, loving it. But, i really want to go to australia one day. Plus your marine job sounds soooo crazy cool and fun!
oh yeah, another thing i had wanted to ask you. How did you lose the weight you have lost do far?Counting calories? I just switched from low carb, couldn't handle it anymore. I'm just hoping that this works!

and i miss it like crazy. England is one of the places i've always wanted to go to too...how is it?
the weight i lost so far was really just from the simple 'burning more calories than i eat'. i do try and work out as often as i can because it gets the deficit up for the day, but being in college, as you know, it's not always possible. i don't restrict on any foods though. i pretty much eat what i want but being really really careful to eat within my alloted calories for the day. i have found myself eating less junk and stuff though b/c i read how many calories are in such a small serving and most of the time decide it isn't worth it and i can find something more substantial to eat for the same amount of cals. i kind of think of calories i can eat a day like money and i have only so much money to spend a day...and then i usually decide if i want to spend that 'money' on junk that won't fill me up or good stuff. kinda a weird analogy i know but it works for me!
i'm dying here though with exercise. last week i was able to run every day and this week? not ONCE. damn insane college schedule!
England is good! Very pretty and a lot to see. A lot smaller than i thought lol. Its funny , in school growing up, i never really compared the sized of other countries to the US. I just assumed that they were all the same size for some reason
We drive across the country in like 3 hours. I haven't made into the rest of europe yet, but i plan to.
Thats so awesome that you run too!I just started running about a 2 months ago. Worked my way up to three miles. I remember when i could barely run 60 secs with out wanting to collapse.
yeah I've actually found not that I kind of enjoy running. I started running when I was in Australia but then had to stop when it got too hot. Last week though I was at the gym and just had this impulse to get on the treadmill and run and I ended up running for like 20 minutes straight without realizing it. And I wasn't even out of breath by the end! Back in australia I couldn't go 2 minutes without dying either! Now I just need to get my legs into better shape in order to be able to stand running for so long.
So are you in collge right now? If you are, what's your major?

mind if I join? I did weigh myself in on Thursday, but it was in the middle of the day and I was fully clothed and it came out to 125.6. I'll just weigh myself in the mornings but clothed too, is this ok by you guys? I usually weigh myself at the gym and well...don't feel like stripping just to take my poundage. :P Oh, and my goal weight based on that is about 115ish.
of course not! any one is welcome! and you can weigh yourself any way you like. if you want we can have a specific day to do weigh ins, or we can just use this to keep each other motivated. i'm cool with anything.
Yup, in college...well on break for now actually. I did last semester. I'm going to be a rad tech. I just have clinicals left, but i wont be back in school for about another year. Guess i might tell you the story lol: I was an air force reservist at Barksdale AFB, LA . Then i met my bf, we've been together for 2.5 years. He got stationed in England last november. He has a little over a year left. So...i got out of the reserves, now i am going back and forth b/t the states and England until hes done here.We still have our house in Shreveport. So after we are done with England... back to school and the reserves...might as well get my traveling in while im sill young lol.I hate not being in school b/c i love school. But...i'm seeing a lot right now, most people will never get that chance. Can't have my cake and eat it too!!!
I almost majored in biology(i love it)...i kinda still want to. I'm still not very positive about my career choice...but i'm sticking to it. I want to be everything, i just can't decide.Gosh this is long, sorry.

Isn't traveling like the best thing in the world? I've been so fortunate so far and, seriously through almost sheer luck, I've been able to travel to 5 out of the 7 continents so far...just africa and antarctica to go! :) What's your favorite place you've been so far?? This may be naive but what is a rad tech?
i'm not sure i've ever heard of it before.
I'm excited b/c this summer I'm actually going to be able to test out if my biology, mainly marine mammal biology, is where I want to go. I got an internship at the aquarium near my school (the one I volunteered at) training the beluga whales and doing behavioral research with them. I'm SO pumped. It's going to be crazy intense though!
I'm up for any day too. I started logging my weight every morning and found that, for some odd reason, it's been helping me a lot, as long as i remember to keep in mind that daily fluctuations are normal and stuff. Any one have a preference for a beginning vs. end of the week weigh in?
Its ok lol, its a radiologic technologist. Taking x rays ultreasounds mri's and stuff. Nothing to exciting lol.

So this week I'm at 154 down from last week at 155.2! A nice loss of 1.2, although I did see 152 at some point and then I did the Carmen Electra hip-hop vid which was a ton of fun and I worked like a fiend but the next day i could barely walk, so there's probably still some serious water retention going on in those muscles of mine (which are not happy with me at ALL). My crazy schedule is keeping me as far away from the gym as possible which i am not happy about at all, but i've been trying to get in a walk or two every day for at least SOME exercise. I think i'm going to rent some more work out dvds though for when I maybe have some time in my room to work out but not enough time to go to the gym. anyone have a fav?

Ocean, congrats on the loss girl!!Awesome!! I have never heard of the carmen electra dvd..i'm going to have to look into that. I don't have a fave dvd yet, but i am hoping soon. I orderd a rodney yee yoga dvd, but it is taking FOREVER to get here. I have been trying to find a good weight training dvd.

Hi all...been so good this past week. Very proud of myself. I don't have any great expectations for tomorrows weigh in as its only my first week back from a plateau but definately looking forward to next weeks one as I know this weeks hard work will have paid off by then. My favourite dvd at the moment has definately got to be the dirty dancing workout...its so much fun! Even my 3 yr old daughter loves it. I'd definately reccommend it, even if you cant keep up with all the moves its fun to have a go and you don't even realise your exercising, but you certainly feel it after. Good luck all!

I have had a terrible week, i am up quite a bit. Today i told myself that i would get back on track. I have been doing a lot of emotional eating. I don't know why i do that???I do great all day..then night time comes, i start thinking about crap and i just eat. I need to stop before it gets out of hand. Today is a new day....i need to focus.
