Come join the original 4 members in a challenge to Lose 15-20 pounds by Christmas! Group will close on 10/3/2008, but will be open to the first 10 new members who would like to join :)

FYI for the newbies:

I'm Twila. Almost 22, 5'7" with a goal weight of 140. I started CC at 168, which was mortifying, and I'm currently at 156, which is much better. Most of my life I've been 150 to 155. Started college at 145, the lowest I've ever been. Didn't want to leave it at 170, the highest I've ever been. =O!

I ate spaghetti for breakfast today. And I'm having steak for dinner tonight. It has been a weird day, but I don't think I'm going over my cals. I usually attempt to eat breakfast...

You have a heck of a lot of smoothies Lauren. O_O! Hahaha, I always try not to drink my calories! ^_~

I really want a winter wedding. I always thought it would be really amazing to have my wedding on New Years Eve and at the Reception do the countdown and all that :) Also, it so much cheaper to get married then since it the "off wedding season"

Wow, that's a great idea! We're definitely aiming for the fall. Maybe Thanksgiving weekend so his father, step-mother, and half-siblings can fly down from Ohio and spend some time with us prior to the wedding. We seriously discussed having it on Halloween next year and having everyone dress up. XD Halloween is my favorite holiday, but I'm not sure. I would like to have a job so I know what kind of budget I'm looking at, though. That's why I'm thinking more Fall 2010 then Fall 2009.

Plus, in the mountains, fall is amazing! Was looking at here:

I'm 22 (will be 23 by xmas time)...5'8''...started at 170 and have kinda bounced around that number for way way too long.

Hi, I figured I'll give a bit more of an intro to all of you :)

I'm Erin, just turned 24 on Monday, about 5'1.5" and around 162 lbs right now. I started CC (again) this summer at 176, so I've lost about 14 lbs so far (when I hit 161 I'll be out of the "obese" range - I don't think I'm obese tho). Ultimately I'd like to get down to 130-135, which is probably the top of my "normal" weight range, but that's about what I weighed in college when I was the skinniest I've ever been, so I'd like to get there, and then see if I want to go farther.

I haven't totally changed what I eat, just how much. I control portion sizes better and have been trying to eat more fruits and veggies. I try to get to the gym at least 3-4 days a week before work and I love Body Pump classes.

I just got married in May - so as of Oct 10th I'll have been married for 5 months :) I see there are some engaged people... congrats :) Good luck planning, its the hardest part, but definitely pays off :)

I'm more like you eerominn. I haven't really changed what I eat that much other than I don't drink calories anymore (no soda!) and I realize how many calories are in the huge bowl of Lucky Charms I had for breakfast, the steak sandwhich lunch with fries, and the fettuccine alfredo dinner and I decided I didn't need the lunch - hahaha! Well, or the Lucky Charms. Special K is okay too. But I can't give up the fettuccine!

Congratulations on being married for five months! It's really hard to wrap my head around planning something for a year that will be over in a matter of hours. O_o... I never plan anything that well, but I am obsessive, so it's going to be an interesting combination. I started planning our move 6 months before we actually moved although of course everything changed by then because I was so anxious! So I have a feeling this will be a serious challenge.

Wow I'm so excited everyone is commenting so much I can't even keep up!

Twila, Paige and Erin I'm so jealous of you guys thinking (and planning) about marriage and weddings.  I would want a fall or winter one too I think.

I love all this wedding talk ... I have a bit of an obsession with wedding. My bf is in law school (2nd yr) so we're waiting for him to graduate before we get engaged but I already have so many ideas and I can't wait to really start planning!

Sorry I was really busy yesterday! It was my last day of work, again, they are really pulling on my heart here. The bad thing about planning weddings is they require money! (And I'm not expecting any from my parents. They have 5 daughters and are going to have to put my two younger siblings through school financially because they had to be lame unlike the first four children and NOT get the ridiculously easy to get HOPE scholarship. URRGH!)

YES, this sound awesome, so by next friday I have to lose 1.8 pounds! I haven't weighed since Friday but that is definitely do-able!

1.5 lbs by Friday?  most definately do-able...I hope.  I'm going to have to buckle down this week to get there.  Awesome idea for motivation.

1.1 ish by Friday I hope so!  I'd love that.. but I doubt I can do it..drank a lot this weekend and sort of binged yesterday

This weekend was awful! Saturday was bad because I ate a huge breakfast thinking I wasn't going to eat lunch. Then I was invited out to lunch and since I hate to be the person on a diet, I went. Joe's Crab Shack. =( But at least I only ate HALF the Po Boy I ordered, but the Spinach Artichoke dip was delish. And then I went out to dinner. Mexican! Though I managed to avoid most of the cheese and got soup because I was just too full. It did make me proud in a way that I managed to eat decent portions because no joke a few months ago I would've eaten whole meals at both those restaurants and maybe desert. =) So if there's a light at the end of the tunnel, that's it.

Sunday was miserable, though. I ate a whole plate of pasta for lunch and figured that I'd have a small dinner and it wouldn't be too bad. WRONG. Our waiter decided to endow us with chocolate cake! We didn't even have to pay for it! =( I couldn't waste it and considering my fiance and I got a whole piece to ourselves, and he doesn't like chocolate, I ate just about the entire slice. UGH.

Even that'd be okay if I didn't eat nothing but cookies and sherbert the rest of the day. Lame.

But I'm making grilled chicken tonight so hopefully the rest of the week I'll do better.

I'm in though I'm not sure I'll loose anything this week!

Between TOM and bad weekend .. we will see!

haha yeah.  that 1.5 lb loss by Friday is soo not going to happen.  I've been stuck at 154.3 the entire week.  No matter what I do.  It is a bit hard translating my kg scale (a ridiculously cheap one I bought while I'm here) into lbs, so it's possible I might be a little bit less, but not by much.  Oh well.  Not every week can be perfect I guess.
