New "faux pie" dessert I just made

Quote  |  Reply

I was looking around for something for dessert the other night and I came up with this concoction which ended up tasting like a chocolate banana cream pie...very yummy and low cal.

In a bowl

crunch up 4 reduced fat nilla wafers (55 cal)

slice up half a large banana (about 60 cal)

dump in one jello sugar free fat free chocolate pudding cup (60 cal)

top with one serving of fat free cool whip (15 cal)

the whole thing has about 190 calories and 3 grams of fat and is VERY satisfying if you are craving something sweet.

That looks really yummy, and bananas with chocolate is just my favorite.  I think I may buy bananas and chocolate pudding tonight just for this :)

Thanks!

do you put them in the fridge or in the oven? sorry:)

Fridge...it's a cold snack =)

sounds yummy.. what if I put it in the oven? will it taste good?

I don't think the oven would be a good idea....it's like a chocolate pudding pie....you know- where people use those ready made crusts and fill it with pudding and a dollop of whipped cream? It's just a low cal take on it...more a dessert bowl that reminded me of that pie because of the nilla wafers in the bottom of the bowl.

=)

I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'm definitely trying this!!

not a fan of premade chocolate pudding.... or chocolate pudding with nanas... i think ill go with vanilla.. AWESOME idea though.

Oh that sounds goood!!!

I made something like that once (got it from a cookcook)

Take 1 tbsp fat free cool whip (20)

and mix it with 1 tbsp peanut butter (90) to make a "fluffy" PB

Then take a fat free chocolate pudding cup (60)

and layer the two into a bowl. the whole dessert is like 170cal, and freaking awesome!

I'll have to try that one too...sounds great...and sweetnessnlite...I have made it with vanilla before and its really good...caramel pudding too!...you can also sub the nilla wafers for half a 100 cal pack of oreos or any other light version cookie!

small update....last night I tried

1/3 cup barbaras bakery peanut butter puffins

1 sugar free fat free chocolate pudding cup

2 tablespoons fat free cool whip

YUMMY......

mmm vanilla waffers in general are a weakness of mine. They should start making 100 calorie packs so I can have them portioned for me.

I take a 60 calorie caramel jello pudding cup, and slice up 1 apple, and use the pudding as dip for a 'faux' caramel apple. good stuff. Totals about 130 cals.

Kraft now makes a new pudding cup that is only 45 cal; it's sugar free and it's great.

I slice up fresh strawberries (200 grams for 60 cal)and dip them in the chocolate pudding for a chocolate covered strawberry treat! Totals about 105 cal.

i made it with yogurt and rye crackers, then  Iadded a banana and  some strawberries and cinnamon. Great dessert for my sweet tooth. thanks.
