Hi, my name is Rhonda. I have been a member for a short time but i find myself coming here many times a day. I love all the ideas and seeing how everyone supports each other.
I have been a yo yo dieter all my life. I finally decided i wanted a gastric bypass. I am not 100 pds over weight but where i live you don't have to be but you have to have something else that affects your health because of your weight. I do have that but once i saw the doc something kept telling me not to do it, that i could do this on my own.
So, that is what i am doing. DOING , not trying ![]()
I have gathered a lot of great recipes. One suggestion i would like to make is that there be a section for new ones that come on. I would LOVE to know when new ones have been submitted and which they are.
I have tried a lot of different foods i never thought i'd like and it has really been the biggest factor in my eating better. I am a picky eater. Never liked trying new things. When i find something healthy i like it's a great boost.
Once i get a good bit i want to print them out,laminate them and have them put together in a spiral type notebook for myself. Kind of my own personal guide to easy and good healthy meals. I have 26 new healthy meals i love right now from all the ones here.
I need more snacks. A lot of the snacks seem to contain bananas and i just can't make myself like them.
Also, i live in South America and it is HARD to find certain spices or ingredients. I am so grateful when i find meals that does not have a long list of items. If i could find things here i would have lots more than 26 meals.
