Ok, so I THINK this is how you get the ball rolling :) I'm new of course, and found this site by wanting to see how many calories I had eaten today. Its a pretty cool site, and hope to keep my diet going.

I just got out of the military and was so excited that I didn't have to wake up so early and do PT, I just stopped exercising. I noticed the weight gain after a couple of months, and decided to get back in shape. I've lost 22 pounds, and keeping steady at 140 lbs (5'6 1/2). I love my weight, and love even more I have curves instead of bones :)

I hope to get out of this some friends and good health, eating, exercise, etc advice. Hope to chat soon :)

hey! you seem like a really fun person, and have all my respect for being in the military- my dad was a marine (happy veterans day coming up, by the way!). it's great that you're happy with your body/weight (and you look Amazing!). right now i'm working on getting some curves back (19, took control aspect of dieting Way too far) and being happy with myself/learning to focus my control on OTHER aspects of life- i.e. school, haha. anyway, i added you because i think you have a really excellent attitude and i look forward to hearing a lot more of it! ? how old are youwhich branch of the service were you in? did you like it? do you think that it teaches healthy habits (not just eating, but respect/life also)? sorry to pepper you with questions, i just get excited meeting new people who seem cool.

Hello.....

I am new, too.  I know exactly what you are talking about when you say you were excited to not have to wake up early to do PT.  I am in the military right now.  Thankfully, I am in the reserves now.  However, we just got our alert order to go back over, and I have put on some weight by not having to wake up so early.  I can not imagine going over there again with this extra weight.

I stumbled across this site looking up calories as well.  (Wow, we have some stuff in common.)  Anyways, I hope to gain motivation, lose weight, and talk to others doing the same as well.

Nice to met you!
