Do you have a new year's goal?
This year I made a promise to myself to wear a little black dress on new year's eve. Do any of you have a new year's goal? A weight or an outfit you'll like to wear on that special day, and what are your goals for the new year's.
My goal for this new year's is.... To stop the cycle of diets.. AKA Lifestyle change.
Reason: 12/9/08: Stickied for a week; 1/4/09: Unstickied
Mine is to be more careful with my money. I want to stop buying stuff on impulse, stop the Second Cup, stop the take out after classes, and most of all, stop buying things I don't need! I also want to stop using credit card for daily purchases. I will still buy big ticket things like my bus pass, my textbooks, or clothes on it, but not necessities. If I need a credit card to get the latte, I really can't afford it in the first place.
Lynn, I like your idea with the little black dress. Especially since you have worked hard and are looking awesome now. You deserve to treat yourself.
Mary, that's an good idea. I need to stop buying things I don't need on impluse too. I am getting married this year, and that would help me and my fiance out a lot. He buys things on impluse as well. So that's a good idea.. To watch your spending, and only get the things you turly need. I've spent money on things I already have enough of, and is still spending money by the way. X mas is here, and I've already spent alot of money. Each X mas I spend around a 1000 on my kids. Toys, clothes, and more junk. I give them too much, and I have to break them from the habit of getting what ever it is they want. I can truly say.. I've never gotten them a game system, and I am really thinking about getting them one this year.
mine's are the following:
start and stick to a serious budget
get back in the gym faithfully
make a serious effort to pass my promotion test
To drink more water
Stretch before and after workouts...I NEVER do this, I know its awful
To not go overboard even if I say I can have one "cheat" meal/day.
No SWIM DRESS for me this summer!
My goal is to successfully maintain my current weight and be healthy.
Mine are:
- To apply for my driving license
- To eat healthy and actually excercise atleast 3 times a week
- To stop wasting my money on foolish things (Im 18 and I work at the bank, I have no real bills because I live at home, maybe 50 here for gas, lunch money, ect. And I get paid 700 dollars every two weeks. By the end of the two weeks I have NO money. I dont know where it goes :( Im horrible with money)
- To stop being so influences by my friends eg. food, cash, drinking, etc
- To quit smoking
- To start reading my bible more and become more religious
- To finish my Laurell K. Hamilton books that I havent as yet before I get another one

Wow everyone got some good plans for the new year's. Mines is still going to be the same. To stop the diet cycle. I've done those things ever new years since the past 8 years. You think it would get old by now. It has gotten old to me.
I know this sounds stupid, but i have a meeting the day after new years, and we're getting cute t-shirts. My goal is to feel good in my shirt and not worry about how other people are viewing me throughout the day.
Im trying to lose 5 pounds by new years :)

Okay! I've added to my new years list.
- To lose these last 16 pounds.
- To reach my goal weight of 130 pounds before spring.
- To pay off another car loan by March, and not May.
This is my 2009 goal
- Reach my goal weight of around 80-85
- Get a defined upper body
Finish a sprint triathlon
Maintain weight/gain muscle
find a sugar daddy (haha jk)
Well I had a goal of loosing 5lbs at least by new year's at the begining of December. (I just started dieting so my goals are small now) I'm going to keep it at 5lbs, too, because Christmas and everything. I don't want to be unrealistic
My goal is to get a position in my career of choice.
Move out of the neighborhood that I live in.
Learn to eat healthier.
Get to my weight goal at least by the summer time.
Get my stomach flatter.
I have so many but I don't want to over do it.
look amazingly hot for my 21st birthday, i wanna either wear a cute dress or be in a bikini on the beaches of san diego :D( and for my vacation in hong kong)
not fall into gaining weight, and keep this great diet going i have to get back to 125 or 120. (thank you slim quick extreme drink things)
start college.
SAVE my tax refund( not blow it on clothes and pedicures)
get a 3rd job (maybe)
and maybe a new car
enjoy life before everything goes up in flames :D
My goals for 2009:
Keep up the good work on the weight-loss front. I've lost 70 lbs this year, another 70 next year would be great, just need to keep my momentum!
Be as committed to improving my financial situation as I am my weight loss. They are really very similar - sticking to a budget, making small sacrificies for long-term benefits, delaying gratification sometimes, but treating yourself once in a while. Moderation in all things.
Incorporating more excercise into my life...biking to work was a huge achievement this year, I'd like to top it next year by doing that AND going to the gym a couple times a week
I think that 2008 was such a great year for me, all I want for 2009 is to keep it up and maybe even surpass!
