This year I made a promise to myself to wear a little black dress on new year's eve. Do any of you have a new year's goal? A weight or an outfit you'll like to wear on that special day, and what are your goals for the new year's.

My goal for this new year's is.... To stop the cycle of diets.. AKA Lifestyle change.

 You can do it!!!! I believe in you! It takes some planning (that was the resolution I KEPT in 2007 and 2008's was no pop, which I also kept).  Packing extra snacks for emergencies, like almonds, campbell's soup at hand, hot tea, etc, and finding places that serve good food quickly, like Tim Hortons (if you're in canada) which serves soups and sandwhiches fairly quickly, or try your grocery store's deli department for their salads (only use half the dressing)

I have to agree that the spending money on silly non-necessary items needs to stop. I'd say that this is my number one goal. We bought a boat this year AND got married AND plan on adopting and while we have a good amount in savings (we want to buy a house in a year-we have the down payment) I notice that my "fun" money is gone much too quickly! I did a bit better in December, since if you make a goal on New Years and it isn't practice you may break that goal, but I really need to rock January and February.

Okay, now for the healthy mind, body, spirit bit...My goal is to be into the habit of working out, eathing healthier and be in better over all shape before our adoption placement this late spring. I'd love to be healthier (life change #1) before this life change (adoption = change #2). So, I've gotten out my pedometer, re-read YOU on a Diet and am ready to go.

My New Year's goal is the following:

1. To exercise every day, even if it's just for 15 minutes.

2. Drink more water (this is a hard one for me)

3. Not to eat any sweets unless it's for a bday (this will be the hardest for me by far).

4. Save money.

5. To loose 30 pounds by June 2009.

6. To keep that weight off for the rest of the year/life!

7. Take a little time for me every day, being a SAHM, it's hard to do.

I want to loose 20lbs that I have been holding on to for about a year.  I want to look good in a two piece this summer.

I do have a New Year's resolution. haha it's the same one I've had for years! To lose some weight, eat better, and exercise. I'm going to try my hardest to stick with it this time. We'll see what happens.
