New to the group

Hi,

Im not sure if I am doing this right but here goes.  I am a 41 year old mother of three that has started a new life.  My children are grown and I started my career late in life.  I remarried about three years ago and left an abusive relationship.  I am finishing my Masters Degree and I work two jobs.  Ok.....now you see what is going on.  I have put on 25 pounds that need to come off before they become permanent.

I found CC about 2 days ago and I'm goning to give it a try.  There seems to be a lot of information that I could use and I log on when I log on to do my homework.  I am trying to increase my exercise as well.

I like this group because it is focused on 40 and older.  We have different issues and goals then say a 22 year old.  I am looking forward to the feedback.

Would love to hear from anyone,

Hi!  This site is easy to use.  Just look up your food, adjust the measurement, and add it to your food log.  If you do any exercise, add that also.  This will help you plan ahead, think about what you are going to eat that day.

I'm persnoally trying to lose 10 lbs.  I've been working out pretty consistently for about 1 1/2 yrs. and I'm tired of some of this flab covering my muscles!  I'm 5'4" 125 lbs.  And even though that doesn't sound like much weight, I want to look leaner, not skinny, just lean and trim.  I am going to be 41 this month and have 4 kids, 15, 12, 5, and 2.5.

Good luck!  You can do it!  Just keep imagining that fit, smaller body.  Lose it slow and eat healthy.

Hi,

Thanks for the encouragement.  I have always been one to watch my weight because I come from a very overweight family.  I am 5'6 and weight 145lb.  It really doesn't look good on me and it makes me feel sluggish.  I am a very active person and I have taken a desk position in the last two years.  That has not helped with my weight loss goals.  I am now taking extra time to get out and start exercising again.

I have logged into the CC for about 3 days now.  It seems very easy and I like that part.  The other thing is that I can log in from anywhere, I don't have to be home to do it.  How much weight have you lost since you started using the website?
