Hey there everyone! This is my first week, and am really enjoying this site! It really keeps me in line I know I am going to appreciate the support this group offers, and look forward to offering my support as well!
I have been overweight since I was probably 5 years old. I believe I have been on about 98% of the diets out there and always go back to whatever I want to eat and do. So, I've been a yo-yo'er all my life. My heaviest I weighed in at 276 pounds. This was about six years ago. Back then I knew I had to do something, and started drinking plenty of water, which was hard to do when your a coffee addict! For exercise, I used the Richard Simmons Sweatin to the Oldies videos five times a week. I ate what I wanted, which made it easier to stick with this diet. I have never been an overeater, or a junkfood eater, but have been a carb junkie. In a bout six months time or a little less I dropped down to 220, just by doing that. For the past five years I have been up and down from 202 to 240.
This is my first experience using calorie count and am starting my first week at 211 pounds.
I am from Surrey, BC, and have a loving husband of five years and a beautiful brilliant 16 year old daughter. My daughter is amazing. When she starts packing on some pounds, and feels uncomfortable, she has amazing will power and drops the weight in a very healthy way.. and is so disciplined. I admire this cause obviously its not one of my strengths! My husband jumps up and down with 20 pounds. He can eat anything and so weeks still drops weight... grr.. but he is very supportive and is always working with me to eat healthier.
I suppose I have said all I can for now, but look forward to connecting with others on this journey!
