Hi Everybody,
I've been on CC for 1 month now..The food logs and journal are great..They are really keeping me on track, but I thought I would branch out a little and see what the groups are like.
I started out with 205 lbs to lose..Down 18 lbs this month..I know it's not much and I have months and pounds to go, but I have to stop the weight gain and get my life back. I have a great husband, kids and grandkids..I want to be able to see my grandkids grow up..I never seriously tried to lose before, but when I was having trouble breathing a month ago, I reached a turning point..The diet began!!!
I've read some of the posts and see the encouragement everybody gives each other..I am so glad that I found this site.
18 pounds IS a lot. That is 63,000 calories or rather 56 whole medium cheese pizzas.
You don't have months to go, you have the rest of your life to live a new healthier lifestyle.

I absolutely agree with Kdh. You have lost a huge amount, that is more than 4 pounds a week. Most of us lost a good bit of weight at first and then settle down to losing 1/2 to 2 pounds a week. Some weeks better than others.
You didn't gain this weight in a day and you sure won't lose it overnight. But we are here to encourage each other on our journey.
