So recently I've been looking for some people here on CC who are my age and I thought that this would be the best way. So come on in, kick your feet up and introduce yourself. I don't bite and I don't think anyone else does either so don't be shy!

I'll start with myself.

I'm 19 years old, and am so happy that I decided to take control of my health while I am still young. When I first started I wanted to lose a total of 50 lbs and I have lost almost 15 so far, and I am so excited. I am really starting to love myself and how I look regardless of what the number on the scale is.

So who's next??? Come on you know you want to...lol

I'm 21 and am looking to lose about 60 pounds right now. I've lost about 10 so far this year. I'm getting ready to graduate from college and am changing a lot of things in my life and my appearance was one of them that just had to change! I'd like to be able to talk to other ppl who struggle with losing weight while still having fun, goign out, and all that good stuff!
I'm 20 and I was down to 148 lbs before Christmas (I'm 6'3)... Something went wrong and I binged... Gained around 30 lbs... Aiming to lose at least 20 of that and get back to around 150-160 range...

Since I started dieting earlier at the beginning of this month I've lost 4-5 lbs... Right now I'm a college student getting ready to get my Associates in Speech Communication in December...

I was working in the bakery at Golden Corral since January but I'm working out a 2 week notice right now... The money's good but there's too much stress involved and too much temptation being in a bakery full of cakes, cobblers, brownies and cookies...

I've learned not to let food control my life... I run 2 miles a night (looking to increase that very soon)... Hang out with friends and play Basketball on my days off... And still manage to eat good stuff...
hello, i'm 22 in college, I have about 70 lbs to loose to get to a healthy place. I'm married and yeah, pretty much really want to get rid of the wieght and get it under control while i'm still young. i've been working out and watching what I eat, and thats been wotkng pretty well so far, had to kinda cut back on the party-ness because of the calories, but hey, I drank last night and still lost this morning, so all is not lost. (wow, that makes me sound like I party, alot, I don't, I've just cut back alot on what little I do) and last night was caezar Chavez eve, and our school get the Day off, so we had to, mandatory.
balancing school, work, trying to graduate, loosing weight, and the rest of life is hard for students. esspecially because most of us are in some form of constant poverty, so its not always the easiest thing in the world to buy healthy food, and alot of scheduals don't allow for eating at proper times, ie: not at 2 am.

im 16 trying to get out of depression and not care to mucha bout school work. peasover's coming and im a natural binger. marathon's coming, and im not ready to do the half i already did last year my dad's skinnier than me and my moms overweight and i used to be a size 4. i wish id stop btng my nails and i need a hug! im usually a health nut- but lately! uch ive been lazy lying in bed- and now my crush from thsi summer is coming home and im gross. i feel gross. ive got a boyfriend but i dont love my body anymore help!!!!!!!

Hello, I'm 19, in college.  I haven't gained the "Freshman 15," but I'm still looking to lose about 15 lbs.  I'm a little stuck in not losing weight, but with the exercise and healthier food choices, I'm feeling healthier and happier in my clothes!
Ok so seems a lot of us are in college right now. I've found it incredibly difficult to have the time, let alone the energy, to make it to the gym after a full day of classes or work. I work full tiem and am a full time student so I am always busy until 6pm everynight. And by the time I get hoem I just want to sit on the couch and not leave again! The only way I can really make myself go is if I bring my gym gear to school or work w/ me and go right after I get off. But hten I'm not home until after 7 and I'm starving which leads to eating too much bad stuff. has anyone else had any success getting gym time in w/ such busy schedules?
I'm 20, and I'm trying to lose 30lbs at least. I don't know how many I have lost yet because I don't have a scale. So I have to wait.
Hey there!  I'm Megs, 18 yo, senior in high school.  I'm 5'5'' and 170 lbs.  I'm working to lose 35 lbs so I can be happy and healthy, at an appropriate BMI.  I'm tired of this self that  I've been living in, and it's time to make a change.  I'm going off to college in August and being in shape and lookin good is really important to me.  Wish me luck!  And good luck to all of you.  :-) xoxo Meg
ktcort-- i knoww aht ur thinking for sure! What i am trying now is i bought the body for like book and they talk about really intese interval workouts.. i guess they are good to do.. and its only for 20mins 3 times a week and strength training the other days. but they ar emade to be efficient and not take up tooooooo much time. im trying it out i did it today.. was sweaeting alot which always shows me i did a good workout job!
yea i try to do hiit when i go to the gym but haven't done much of any strenght training  yet. I'll probably be able to after i graduate czu i'll have more time for stuff. I really like the hiit b/c I feel liek i get such a serious workout adn i feel the effects much longer. If I can't do that then I try to do at least 45 minutes on the elliptical. I've been consistently going at least once a week for like 6 weeks now so that's at least better than not going at all. After work calms down adn I'm not working 9.5 hours a day I'm hoping to go at least 3 times a week. so we'll see when that happens!
Hi! I'm 16 years old, though I will be 17 in May. I'm a Junior in High School and plan to lose 15 pounds by the end of May (I am currently 5'1 and 130.4 pounds). In the past with dieting and 'staying on track' I tend to really get off track and I also get discouraged really easily. I hope to change all of this soon with good eating habits and excercise and I also hope I can start loving me for me rather than how much I weigh or how I look.
I am 15 going to be 16 in june and I am a sophomoore in high school and I am about 76 ponds over weight and I need some help because my parents son't promote me losing any weight even thogh they don't want me to have an eating disorder. they still son't buy healthy food and they don't ever cook dinner its always "find something" and I think it is stupid

Hi Y'all! I'm 19, in college, and since 2004 I have dropped 46 pounds - and if I can do it, you can do it too!!

This is a great site, and it looks like lots of help is available to you here. I wish you all well, its not an easy journey, but it's very rewarding!
I'm 18, first year in college...

I guess I'm on the other end of the spectrum; recovering from Anorexia. Hardest thing I've ever done, even harder than losing the weight in the first place.

But I'm going to do it!
I'm 17! Yay! I'm a little on the chunky side, so I'd like to lose a little of that. I'm 5'3" and about 145, so I'd like to lose about 15 I think. Yeah, that sounds good.
hey ~ I'm 18 and a freshman in college.  I gained weight throughout my senior year of HS and am looking to reverse it.  I've been here on CC for a little over a month and it's been working great!  I started off around 120-122 and this morning I was 111, but am normally around 112-115.  Anyway, I love this site and it's improved my all around health!
