I am new here!

Quote  |  Reply

My name is Marnett. I am a 23 yr old "new mom" and wife. Gained a TON of weight while pregnant (for what seemed 2 years straight), and am ready to lose it all! I have been a stay at home, brestfeeding mom and I am now actively seeking employment, also attending school as a full-time student.

I want to make new habits with my food choices because I know my kids will eat what their parent's eat. I also want to be able to run around with them for hours on end, without running out of breath after the first 15 minutes. I want to be HEALTHY and treat my body like a temple, as God intended.

I also can't wait 'til the day I put on that classic black dress and see my husband's face light up (of course, my face as well!). He's been concerned more about my health for the kid's as well, and he encourages me to stay healthy, but he sees my vicious cycle, too. Eat healthy for a few weeks, then fall off. But I am here now to BREAK THAT CYCLE!

I look forward to helpful tips, dining out lighter solutions, and encouragement from fellow members!

Reason: had to change title from I'm to I Am - using (') makes it look like a garbaged word

Welcome Marnett.

Baby fat is a little hard to lose but it can be done! You being young is advantageous for you.

You have the right attitude about wanting to change your food habits and introducing your new family to them. That is something I wished I had done!

Good luck in your weight loss journey and remember.....you're not alone. There are a lot of us walking along side of you!
