Hi everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Tina, 42 yrs old, I am a runner and have been the last 5 years. The thing with being a "runner" is I guess I think I can eat what I want :( that worked at first but not anymore. I seem to gain, lose....well you know the vicious cycle...lol. I would like to lose 20 lbs before it's 30, 40, 50 or more. It seems to be harder now that I'm older. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you and also help encourage you as I know I will get alot of encoragement here. Thanks :)
Hi tianzi67! I'm new also - just joined a couple of weeks ago. Welcome! I have about 40 lbs to lose, so can verify your worry -- dont let it get worse than the current 20! I used to row on a sweep team but injured my foot last year and have packed on about 20 lbs since then! YIKES!! Good luck!!

Hi Tina,
I'm also a runner, 41 yo. I have run since 7th grade, and am so grateful to be able to. However, I too, thought I could eat whatever, and have found that doesn't work anymore. I have managed to lose about 10 lbs on calorie count, but am struggling to keep them off, and also to lose the last 5.
Do you run races? What is your running week like?
Dori
Thanks Alaskachick...I know I am not gaining anymore, it's too hard to take it off. Good luck to you. So, is your foot better? What are you doing now regarding fitness?
Hi Dori...Yea I do keep off some weight but my body just got used to it I guess and now, I realize I need to get my eating habits under control. Wow, you have been running a long time. It's a great sport that I'm glad I found. Yes, over the past five years I have ran about 6 5K's, 1 15K and this year ran my first half marathon. I am starting training this month for doing that one again in March. Do you run races? My running week right now is 3 mornings a week....3 miles. But with the training coming up, we will run our longer runs on Saturdays. How bout you?????
