Hell everyone! My name is Nicole and I'm a 25 year old mother of 3. I have dieted on and off for many years, but am finally at the point where I want to quit dieting, learn to eat BETTER and hopefully lose some weight in the process. I am 6' tall and currently weigh 190 lbs. I hope to get down to 160, but I would be perfectly happy if my jeans would just fit better!

My weight has gone up and down all of my adult life. In high school I was about 160, but in my first year of college I gained almost 40 lbs. I have been down to under 150 after my first son was born, but I think for my height that was really too thin. I recently got remarried which has made it especially hard for me to lose weight. I love to cook (especially bake!) and I find myself making yummy cookies, cakes, breads, and HUGE dinners every day. My husband loves it, but my waistline does not.

I joined CC yesterday. I need a place where I can find support from people who are like me. I have done LA Weightloss (I lasted all of 2 weeks), Atkins, the master cleanse (only lasted a couple of days on that one), and a plethora of other fad diets that work in the beginning but not in the long run. I have found that eating less and cooking low cal/low fat foods that taste good works the best for me. Counting calories is tedious but it has worked for me in the past!

I am looking forward to getting to know all of you! I'm glad to have others to share this journey with.

We sound somewhat alike! I'm 5'8 and 180- I have lost 5lbs doing calorie counting so far and I think doing low-cal foods that taste good is the only thing that is going to work for me as well. I've never tried a "diet" before.

I gained 70lbs pregnant with my son and need to get the last 32lbs off so I can fit into my clothes again and not feel....ick. I just feel ick right now. Good luck and welcome!
