Im 19, 6'0 139 pounds and Im real interested in learning how to stay healthy and keep my weight and understand whats good to eat and not gain weight blah blah

 

1. Is drinking coke zero, diet dr pepper, etc BAD FOR WEIGHT LOSS? does it make you gain weight? i read the nutrition facts and it says 0 cals 0 sugars and VERY LOW sodium how is that bad for loseing weight. I DONT WANNA KNOW IF ITS HEALTHY BUT IF ITS BAD IF YOUR TRYING TO LOSE WEIGHT.

 

2. Is air popped popcorn no butter good for loseing weight?

 

3. Out of these 3 foods which is best for loseing weight? APPLES or ORANGES or STRAWBERRYS?

 

4. Whats the BEST CEREAL for loseing weight?

 

Thats all I can think of now :] answer pleaseee

Dude you are 6 freaken feet tall and weight 139 pounds. You shouldn't be loosing weight.

did you typo your height/weight? If you're a guy @ 6ft, 139lbs, you're underweight...i wouldn't be trying to lose any...

Yes thats my weight.... like I said IM NOT WANTING TO LOSE WEIGHT IM JUST INTERESTED FACTS AND CALOIRES AND WHATS GOOD FOR YOU AND STUFF. Dont worry about me, I eat fastfood everyday haha im bad. I really wanna just know about these foods

6 foot 139 lbs puts you at a bmi of 18.8 which is the low end of normal(18.5-24.9) for your height. If anything start working out and build some muscle mass. A weight of 160 would put you at a bmi of 21.7(but you don't want to pick up flab getting to this weight hence the work out suggestion). 

Personally i DO NOT drink diet products at all  because they have either sweet n low equal or splenda in them all of which are worse for you then their non diet counter parts(if i want bubbles i mix fruit juice 50/50 with sparkling water or drink an IZZE) but for the most part i drink water milk or iced tea.

I eat low sodium buttered popcorn and am losing a steady 2 lbs per week. 

Most fruits and veggies are naturually low in calories and high in fiber (fills you up)thus making  them good fodder for controling hunger and lastly I eat brown rice puffs

dude, you should really start focusing on eating MORE and eating PROPERLY

STOP with the diet soda you don't need it, and its pure garbage. Drink milk and juice instead... you need to get your calories up and put some weight on

My boyfriend is 6'2 and 170lbs, and he's still TOO SKINNY, he hates it and wishes he could gain like 20lbs.. like I love him, but even I think that he would look better with some more meat on his bones

he starting working out a while ago and adding more calories through protein shakes to his diet and he's looking SO SEXY with the extra muscle. Seriously I can barely keep my hands off him.. but he's still very thin and all his friends make fun of him for being "scrawny"

You know how girls have "fat days"? Well he has "skinny days". Days where he claims he feels like he's just lost 10lbs and all his clothes feel too big on him..

Point is, I couldn't imagine how skinny he would look at 139lbs, my stomach goes quesy just thinking about that

It's not like you're a 13 year old boy either, you're 19!! Your body should of filled out somewhat by now... you may not be eating enough, you probably need a MINIMUM of 3000-4000 calories a day. I suggest you go and see a nutritionist to get an idea of how much you should weigh and how much you should be eating... cuz hun, 139lbs at 6'0 is way too low

If you are not interested in losing weight, as you say, then why all the questions about what foods are good to lose weight?

You could lose or gain weight eating ANY kind of food because it depends on your diet as a whole, not individual foods.

However, like others have pointed out you are underweight and need to be gaining weight.

Also I've been told that the sweetener in soda cannot not be differentiated by your body from sugar so it reacts the same way. And that the potassium in soda leeches calcium from your skeleton.

Definitely something t boe 'enjoyed' occasionally and not as an everyday drink in the place of water or milk for young people

For me the coin cleaning was enough.

What happens if you put soda down the toilet?

I might add that potassium is a vital electrolyte in the body and we actually need it. If potassium really leached calcium, either we'd all have brittle bones (because we all have a potassium balance) or bananas - a rich source of potassium - wouldn't be considered such a healthy food.

This is kinda hijacking the thread on a tangent but i think his point was that soda is bad for you and should be drank in moderation meryl.

 My thoughts exactly... it's uncommon,but not unheard of for males to have eating disorders or body image issues

You don't need to lose weight... either use this site for what it's intended for; ie achieving a healthy weight and relationship with food, or get off. We're not going to support you losing any weight

 

What happens if you put soda down the toilet?

It cleans it real good!

You don't need to lose weight.

 

Try weight training to build muscle and acheive a healthy weight get help.

You know what goes great with milk?  Oreos.   139 lbs for someone who's 6 foot is way too small.

1) I personally don't know, but my foods and nutrition teacher told me that it's bad for losing weight. She said something about the chemicals in it.

2) It's low calorie and yummy, so it's a much better snack than lots of other things you could choose, so I'd say yes.

3) I don't think one is better than any of the others. I would alternate between them, so that with the variety you're getting different nutrients, which would be better for you than just eating one.

4) I don't know what the best is, but I enjoy Cheerios and Special K, which some low-fat milk.

just for dinner i ate 6 tacos from burger king.

Btw I work out at least 30-mins to a hour a day.
