New, hungry and slightly confused!
Hi :)
So I've decided to take my moans about wanting to be slimmer and use that energy for better purposes and really give it a shot this time!
I have just signed up and logged in my first days worth of food and i'm suprised at finding out that by counting all the little extras that I didn't really think about before, a little mustard here, a cup of tea or two there, nearly an added 100 cals magicly appeared and gone into my mouth! Ruthlless counting from now on! haha :)
I'm slightly confused though, by the burn meter on my account home page. I understand the big white number is the number of cals that youve burned through activitys and logged on (1216 for me right now), but I'm not sure what the total estimate means? (1780) is that how many cals you are thought to burn in your average day and the big white number is extra, or is it how many extra calories you ought to be burning?
Forgive me if the answer is blidingly obvious, I'm in chocolate withdrawl! ('Tis my excuse and i'm sticking to it! ;P)
Thanks in advance :)
Your estimate of calories burned is based on how many calories you would burn in a 24 hour period based on age, height, weight, and activity level during the day. Those calories are being burned every day regardless of how much you actually exercise. Any exercise you do is added to that estimate. Just make sure that your calorie intake is always lower than what your calories burned shows (that is the number you see at that time and not the estimate). Hopefully I have answered your question, if not just send me a message. Good luck to you, I have found that this site is very helpful.
hey :)
good for you for making the decision :)
the total activity exercise is how many calories you are going to have burned by the end of the day, the number below is how many you have burned at the current time out of the first number
haha im a chocolate fanatic too its so hard not to indulge sometimes... :)
good luck!
And to add to what has already been said; to lose about a pound per week you would need to eat 500 calories less than that little small number above the big white one. Good luck. Also, CC has some really great tools to find out how many calories you should be eating and such.
this has nothing to do with your post but....i LOVE your hair!!!
