New, 200+lbs, 23 yr old looking for similar aged or weight 4 support!
Hey everyone!
I'm 23 years old, a very sad 255lbs and am looking for someone or a group of people to keep in contact with to help support me and vice versa. I live in Pittsburgh, Pa and would love for someone that can relate to me whether in age or weight.
I've always been a heavy girl so I think I'm going to be in for a ride trying to diet! But here I am and I have a great nutritionist, a boyfriend who loves me eitherway, and more will power than I've ever had... So feel free to reply even if you're not in the exact same room, because we're all in the same boat!! TTTL

Dear De:
Making the commitment to lose weight is a big hurdle, so congratulations! I am nearly twice your age, but have have lost 40 lbs. while using the Calorie Count Web site (down from 225) and I live in Pittsburgh, as well.
I personally feel that the fact that you are trying to lose weight for yourself, not for other people (such as your boyfriend), is a wonderful thing. The only person you can let down is yourself, so you don't need to worry about guilt from others.
My single, best piece of advice I can give you is to remember that _every_ day is a new day, a new opportunity to reach your goal. If you keep that in mind, it makes the difficult days much more easy. You will have bad days, you will have days that you blow your goals, but when you wake up the next morning, you have a fresh opportunity to gain control of your life.
Please let me know what kind of support I can offer you.

I'm about the same age as you. I'm 20. I'm also around your weight... 205. I'm 5'3", so I'm pretty heavy.
I live with my boyfriend, Eric, in Owensboro, KY. This is the heaviest I have ever been, but I have been overweight since I hit puberty! My long term goal is to reach 140-130. I'd be happy with 140, but would LOVE to get to 130. I wear a size 18 pants right now. I'm just hoping to get to a size 9, but would be totally excited about a size 7!
Anyway, if you wanna chat, just let me know. Maybe we can all just add each other to our friends lists and keep in touch that way!
Hugs,
Mandi
