My New Life ....

Quote  |  Reply

So my life hasn't always been this great.  Between 2005 - 2008 I gained about 35 pounds that definitely didn't help my health.  My hubby found out in October of 2008 that he was going to be deployed to Iraq come February of 2009.  The wheels in my head started to turn and I decided that if I didn't want my beautiful little kid to have serious issue with weight when she grew up I need to change my lifestyle.  As soon as my hubby left on 29 February I realized it was "now or never"  I started off slowly because I wanted this to become a permenant thing for me.  It is now getting ready to be August 2009 and my husband comes home for his mid-tour leave from Iraq and I am nervous!!  When he left I was weighing in at 152 pounds and was wearing a size 12/13 in pants.  I am now weighing in at 116 pounds and wearing a size 3/4 (I am going to cry ...).  Anyway, needless to say I am proud of myself and my accomplishments.  I know that if I have the will to take all that weight off, anyone with just a little motivation can do it as well.  I believe :)  I also wonder what my hubby will say when he sees me next week.  I feel like a newlywed :)

Thank you all!!  Woohoo, I am so excited as I mentioned before.  My hubby does know that I have decided to make a change for the better when it comes to my weight but he does not know how much I weigh now.  The last time we skyped was about three months ago so he hasn't seen me since then.  The skype thing was a webcam thing so he only saw my face anyway :)  I will keep you guys posted so you know what happens when we comes home for a little Smile.  Thank you all for all the positive and kind comments!!

What an incredible story!  He is going to be so super proud of you! But you should be super proud of  yourself too! Congratulations!

Well done! Enjoy every second of having your hubby home.

It's cleverly titled I'm So Excited (I think anyway)!  They sure didn't put much thought into the title, huh?

I wanna know how it goes!! I'm excited for you!! Congrats!!

Congratulations on all of your hard work and how it paid off!  And thank you and your husband for serving your country so bravely.  Enjoy all your success, and most especially your precious time with your husband!  I don't even know you and I'm so excited for you!!!  Smile

OH MY GOSH,That is just wonderful.  I think I was in contact with you before I stopped coming here.  I just moved away from my home and got into a whole lifestyle of eating in restaurants.  But I remember postings about someone whose husband was leaving for Iraq. Even if that was someone else, I think what you have done is wonderful.  I don't know if this is a surprise for your husband or not.  But either way it will be a thrill for him to see you so trim and fit.  I hope you have someone to babysit at least one night so you two can have some alone time during his visit.  You have done something wonderful for yourself and your family.

aww that story just made my day!:) good for you, that is so inspirational! have fun with your hubby!

You are both to be commended for your commitment and sacrifice.

Thank you and God bless -- I hope you have a spectacular homecoming!!!!!

I can't wait to hear what he says either! Please update.
