New and Looking for Accountability Buddies

Quote  |  Reply

A friend of mine referred me to this site and I thought I'd give it a try. I am currently 5'2 and at 153 lbs. Last summer I cut back on carbs and exercised consistently. I went from about 171 lbs. to around 154-155 lbs. I then went back to school and hit a plateau - I kept off the weight I lost, but did not continue to lose. Now I am graduated and am home permanently, so I am really more determined than ever to get to my goal weight of 120 lbs. I have kept up a consistent exercise regimen since the beginning of summer, but have not lost any weight. I seem to be stuck in the 150-155 lbs. range. I have tried all kinds of diets since the beginning of summer with virtually no luck. I never wanted to count calories, but I figured that it would help me eat normally, and I also thought that I could depend on other people for advice. Today is day one of my calorie counting diet and I am already looking forward to the amazing results. I look forward to meeting the rest of you calorie counters out there and sharing in your successes!

Welcome!  We have similar stats. I am 5'1" and 145 lbs.  Want to get down to 125.  Good luck and let me know if you need any support / encouragement!

Hi and welcome!  Glad to see you are trying this great website!

We have similar stats, too.  I am 5'2" and todays number was 156.  I started in January, lost 10 lbs, then stress kicked in again to bring the numbers back up.

There are a lot of tools on this site and some great people.  I'll be part of your support group if you like!

Peace, Sarah

Thanks! I appreciate it!
