Welcome to C-C Amanda!

My name is Gretter. Im 15 yrs old, 5'6''. Right now I am 133ish and my goal is 125. I started out a little bit more than a year ago weighing in at 250 so that means that to date I have lost 117 pounds... Anyway, enough about me. You seem pretty active so im sure if you eat the proper amount of calories as well as a healthy diet you will loose those 34 pounds easy.

If you have any questions feel free to ask me or post a question in the forums, Everyone here is really friendly and supportive!

btw calorie-count doesn't provide correct calorie consumptions for teens. It is for adults and our bodies use up a lot more calories than adults so here is a website designated to calculate the BMR just for kids and teens: http://www.kidsnutrition.org/bodycomp/bmiz2.h tml  

If you have a 500 calorie deficit each day then you will loose about 1 lb a week. Try never to have a calories deficit bigger than 800. Its not healthy! and definitely not worth it, trust me.

Heyy im 16 too, my names Ashley.
Im not in sports or anything but i go to the gym with my friend 4 days a week as much as possible.

Sorry about that. I should have explained. Calorie deficit is the difference between the calories you eat and the calories you burn/ our bodies use up. So for example lets says your body burns 2000 calories and you go to the gym and burn 300 thats is 2300 calories burned therefore to have a 500 calorie deficit you should eat 1800 calories. Do you understand?

15 turning 16 in the summer. I'm 5' 5" too weighing 170. I would love to weigh 140 (or even less) :)  basically we're like twins haha. I"ve only been part of CC for like 3 weeks and I've lost about 5 pounds. not counting the 10 I lost before this. so good luck! and feel free to message me if you have any questions or just want to chat :)

i'm athena, 16 years old and 5'8". i just joined CC today, so i have no idea what to expect, but hopefully i'll be able to lose about 15 lbs. as soon as i can while staying healthy and active! my main goal is to change my lifestyle so that i eat healthfully and exercise more—which i'm definitely not doing enough of now.

    unfortunately i'm not into sports, except for horsebackriding and golf (both of which i do with my friends, and neither of which gives me much exercise!!) but my friend and i just joined a class called the Bar Method, which has exercise classes at their studios around the country. i'm trying to do this 3 times a week, but since my friend already weighs about 20 pounds less than me, it's hard to motivate her to go with me, since she really doesn't need to lose any weight to begin with—nor do any of my friends for that matter!

    anyways, sorry to babble, but i'd love to stay on track and it helps to keep motivated with other people, so message me anytime!

i'm katrina. i'm 17, 18 pretty soon here i guess. i just joined here today, so i really don't know what this is all about- i'm 5'7" and 143 now, hoping to lose about ten pounds. i really hate sports, so i've been working on getting some motivation to exercise at all.  =]

hey katrina and everyone! im veronica.  i'm 17 and kinda just joined too.  im a lot like you katrina, 5'6 3/4" and 141 lbs.  i really really want to lose ten pounds.  that would be fabulous.  im pretty active, but for some reason i just cannot lose weight and it's driving me absolutely crazy!
