NEW - Who is with me? lose 20 lbs by January 1st (Group is CLOSED to keep it small)
I'll be starting the New Year in South America on vacation. As it will be summer there, I want to feel comfortable and look good in a bikini.
My goal is to lose 20lbs by January 1st.
I'll be posting my progress here every Monday. Yes Monday!, I want to be accountable for my weekends too!
This may be extra challenging as it goes through the holidays, but I really want to reach my goal!! It would be fun to go on this journey with the support from other people with similar goals.

Hey! So my stats are almost the same as yours!
I am 27(just turned) and am 140. I also want to lose 20lbs. I am getting married next year on Sept. 12 and want to be in awesome shape by then but I also have a vacation planned in december in Saint Martin. I am currently doing the seperation diet, it is where you eat 5 or 6 small meals a day and alternate between carbs and proteins. I also hired a personal trainer for 2 days a week and hope to get to the gym on my own at least 2 more days per week. I just started all this last week so I definitley need some support to keep going. Good luck everyone!!!
Sure! I'll join. I'd love to lose 20lbs by the 1st, but I would be so happy with 15 lbs. We'll see how it goes!!

Also, I think I am going to take my measurements tonight. Since I am working out so much I will probablly be gaining muscle weight so I would be happy with losing a little less weight (maybe 15) if inches are coming off.

Tamarita, I'm all in and ready. Will post my new weight in the morning!! I'm telling you guys, if I haven't lost after sweatin like a greased pig on the beach at the gym four days this week (this morning included) you better send the paramedics to my house, because i will DIE--
just kidding. I've been going really hard for the past 4 weeks and haven't loss a pound. I'm hoping counting my calories steps up the pace. Well will see in the morning. I'm tracking my inches too. Should I measure weekly, or bi weekly?
By the way, I seem to be the old head in the crew, at 36 I feel like I'm pushing a walker compared to everyone else in this post. But I'm cool with that!!! Now everyone listen to your elder, step away from the cake and good luck with your weight for this week.

I've also been going hard for the last few months but it seems like I hit yet another plateau. But let's stay positive and work to reach our goals by Jan 1st.

Woot, I have finally actually lost weight! .7 of a kilo in the past week, a bit over a pound/ win!
Drum Roll Please . . . . Finally I lost 2.4 pounds this week!!!! Hooray. The only thing is my Wii tabulated my weight as 205 last week (203 was an illusion)

Sableandargent lets have a drink to our loss. Congrats to you, girl. I know how you feel, I have been working extremely hard for the past month and this is the first week I've loss. The gym 4 to 5 days a week, counting calories-- I was about to go postal. Congrats again, let's do this losing pounds again next week.
Tamarita it's okay, you don't have to call 911. I have lost, finally. However, you might have to call the pyschiatric ward because I consumeedc 1850 calories today (that's what the website suggests I boosted my calorie intake up by 300) and Ive burned a whopping 3825 that leaves me with a deficit of 2000, you know this is driving me crazy.. I did three classes at the gym this evening. I know I'm supposed to have a deficit of 500 to 1000, and I thought working out was a good thing. By the way any loss is a loss-- you could have not loss or even worse . . . gained. Good for you!!
