New! Have lost 8kg (17.6lbs). Still 17kg (37.4lbs) to go!

Hi All

Just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm 21 and have been overweight my entire life. This is the first time I've seriously dedicated myself to a healthy lifestyle overhaul. I just met the 50 day mark. I am 175cm (5'8) tall. At my heaviest during high school I weighed 110kg (242lbs) but as I got older and taller my body changed and my weight has hovered around 95kg (209lbs) for the last 2 or so years. Thats how heavy I was when I started. My current weight is 87kg (191.4lbs) and my goal is to be 70kg (154lbs). So still a bit to go. I'm using Nintendo Wii Fit as my exercise routine. I generally alternate between the jogging and yoga/muscle exercises for 30-45mins per day.

I'd love to meet some new like minded friends so don't be strangers!

Bye

WELL DONE!!! Laughing I feel really proud of you .... hope you feel proud too.

I notice that you're in cm and kg ..... are you in Australia perhaps .... I haven't bothered to change my stats into lbs and inches ... seeing yours I can relate. My heaviest weight was 103 kg (at the end of pregnancy). For a long time I was around 93 kg. These days the top max weight I'm allowed to be before dieting is 80 kg. Current weight 79.4 kg. Blah, blah ....

Anyway, just wanted to say hello and well done.

Hello Painted Lady,

I just joined up as well. I'm female, 33, 166cm (5'5) tall and weigh 86kg (189lbs). My goal is to weigh 68kg. So we have similar goals.

I've been thinking about buying a Wii Fit. How are you finding it?

hellllllo!

You are in my weight range:)I started at 96kg and I am down to 84-85...in 2 months! My goal weight is 55kg by the end of 2009 begin 2010.It might happen faster and I dont really care about the date I just thought is nice to relate to a time frame.I just hit a plateau though that makes me sad but I would be happy to join you on this journey!I exercise 3-5 times per week, grouplessons(les mills) and cardio fitness.I would love to have a weight loss buddy!

hello beat4, torbelly and mollysmum! its so nice to meet some others like me. yup i am in australia, perth to be exact. congrats to all of you on your success! its so motivating to have others at similar positions with similar goals. i have also kind of hit a plateau at the moment. i seems to be taking ages to crack 87kg! im actually a trainee high school teacher and just started a practicum today. it lasts for 3 months then i graduate so im guessing im going to be run of my feet in the coming weeks and that might help me crack 87. i hope so anyway!

i'm finding the wii fit absolutely perfect for me. i don't have the time or money for the gym at the moment. this way i can come home from school and jump straight on. i was doing 30mins per day of jogging and yoga but i've increased this week to 45mins to help break my plateau. i also find it more interesting than walking because you can alternate between different games and activities. it counts up the minutes you have exercised and charts your weight loss/gain and bmi. also its so freezing here at the moment that i try to avoid going outside! i guess it just depends on what you like to do.

congrats again to you all. i'll let you know when i kick this plateau's butt. and id love to have you as my weight loss buddies!
