New Member, gave birth in Feb Breastfeeding and not dropping lbs!!

I just had my second child Feb 13th, and after the initial huge drop of 20 lbs in the first two postpartum weeks, I have yet to lose anymore weight.  My prepregnancy weight was about 127, and my goal weight is 110, but I would actually probably be pretty happy with 115-120 (I am barely 5'2, small frame).  I am exclusively breastfeeding, and with my first child, I was back down to my prepregnancy size by six months postpartum without any dieting or exercise...just soley from nursing.  I haven't changed my eating habits that much from when I was pregnant, and definitely have not been counting my calories, and I'm so sick of still being stuck in my stretchy yoga/maternity pants.  I can't even fit into a size 10!  I haven't really tried anything else, just have some size 10 pants from when I was overweight a couple of years ago.  I'm just ready to not be huge anymore!

According to my Calorie Counter book calculation, I need to consume about 1400 or so calories to lose weight, so I have added 300 calories to that to cover the nursing.  I've set my daily goal at 1750.  I am not too active, but did go for a 30 minute walk yesterday (brisk walk around the neighborhood), and I plan to try to do this at least three times a week to start out.

Does anyone think I should up my calories, being 5'2, 153 lbs, and breastfeeding with light activity?

hi tabs :)  i'm very new here too :)  i think that since you aren't losing weight, i would just TRY experimenting with your calorie intake.  try to up your intake for a week,  and see if that helps you to lose weight.  i'm sure that your walks will definately help you.  and since you are doing the walks, that will up your caloric needs too.  good luck :)
