Hello Everyone,

Joined today, I am ready now. It's funny how the moment comes to you, but I was folding clothes, and I had to carry some upstairs to put away, and I was slightly out of breath when I got to the top. I went back downstairs and folded the rest and realized how that moment made me so unhappy, and I thought to myself, "Well, do something about it already!" Someone said to me, live for today, if your unhappy now, think how much time you are wasting being unhappy? I felt a lift in my chest, and I realized that I have to do something now. - I am a happy person, just not happy with myself and what I have done to my body because of emotional eating. All I know is that I don't want to waste any more time in a body that is not is not the person I actually see in my head, if that makes any sense.

Hi Tammy213,

You  have takent the first big step toward success by joining and seeking support and now you have tools to help you reach those goals.  You will succeed this time as you have the right mindset.  I firmly believe that the mind has the most influence over what we eat and do.  Good luck on the journey.  Enjoy each day of it.  The little steps are just as important as the big ones.

Amelia75a,

Thank you, and that is so true, "the little steps are just as important as the big ones"...words to live by.

Tammy

well done! there is nothing better in making good decisions. Welcome!

Welcome to the first day of your new lifestyle.  I know you will be glad you joined us.  All of the tools you need for success are right here and with the support and help available there is no reason you can't do well with the CC program.  If you have any questions or problems with your journey, someone's almost always available to help you.  With persistance there is no reason you can't attain your goals!  Congrats and good luck!

Welcome!   You have made the first step and sometimes that's the hardest one.  This is a great web site for information and support!  Keep posting and let us all know how you are doing.  ALso check out all the forums for specific interests.

Welcome to the group Tammy.  We are so happy you decided to join us.  I began in May and have experienced highs and lows in the process.  I think the hardest thing is to look in the mirror and not like what you see.  I wish you much luck in this journey and please let me know if you need anything, support, questions answered, etc.  Welcome!

Welcome and I agree, you are ready. I can hear it in your voice. When one is ready, they are happy and optimistic regardless of how much weight they want to lose. Know why? Because they are back in charge of their life.

I joined on Jan1st, weighed 160, today I weigh 149. I have lost 11 pounds, 9 more to go. I truly could not do it without this board.

The yearly weight graph is so important to me as it shows that slow and steady progress makes a big difference over all.

As I said in an earlier thread, losing a pound a week might not seem like a big deal but it will when you are 52 pounds thinner this time next year.

Glad to "meet" you, stay tough and keep doing the right things regardless what the scales say. You can't go wrong if you are doing right.

Welcome - this is an awesome site, you'll learn not to diet, but to change your lifestyle.     I've lost 40 lbs since joining in April, and don't think I'd have made it this far without CC.

As a tip, here's what was my favorite forum when I was a newbie.  If it doesn't answer any questions you might have, it will point you in the right direction.  http://caloriecount.about.com/community-proje ct-faqs-ft17133

Good Luck!!!
