New member is hungry!
Well, I'm new to CC, but for the last week or so, I have been really watching what and how much I put into my body. I'm trying to lose 20 lbs., but better yet--adopt a lifestyle where I know what is going in! My mom was diagnosed with diabetes a few years back, and even she admits that if she had adopted healthier eating habits early on, it could have been prevented. SO....here I am! I was wondering from those of you who are new to this (or oldies), is it normal to feel slightly hungry all the time? I guess I was so used to eating until I was really full before. Now, I'm eating more lightly and def. don't have that full feeling when I'm finished. Guess this is how it is supposed to be, right?
we need some info first lol... how tall are you? your age and sex? frame? calories consumed? how active are you?
You should not be feeling hungry, if you are used to stuffing yourself, then i guess you might, but other than, you shouldnt be hungry. Just make sure all you calories are coming from healthy foods, lean proteins, lots of veggies, low fat dairy, whole grains (and be sure to enjoy an occasional treat, this is for the rest of your life after all) Keep your calories at a moderatly low level, with a defict of 500 -1000 calories.
Hello, I am a new member as well. I am going through the same thing. The other day I came across a forum titled "I am starving" The advice they had given was great. I dont know how to send it to you or if that is even possible but if you can search for forums, it was posted on I think 5.15.08 and the title was "I am starving"...I hope that helps..If not sorry ![]()
Me again, It was actually called "I feel like I am starving"......
If you are used to eating, say, 3500 calories, and then you start eating 1000 calories each day, then yeah. You are going to feel hungry. Thats why you should decrease your number of calories slowly. Once your body gets used to eating a healthy amount each day, you will not feel as hungry. C:
when i went on a six month diet with the danish weight consultants, it was based on a daily intake of 1800 calories (for women), and compared to before, when i used to binge on fast food and anything with sodium levels going through the roof, i felt soooo full having to eat 600 kilograms of veggies every single day. So i think it's about finding foods in the good end of the spectrum, where you can eat heaps without making much of a mark on your daily cal. intake - trust me, if you feast on broccoli, tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers and the likes, you will be full. good luck
