I'm a 37 year old male in Oklahoma with a beginning weight of 310 lbs. Athletic most of my life and actually carry the weight fairly well. Just getting tired of "huffing and puffing" to tie my shoes, feeling sluggish/without energy all the time and having hips, knees, back, etc. that simply "ache" from the excessive strain. Just at that point to take a good long look at my lifestyle and I fear where I'm headed. Time to get healthy for myself and all of my loved ones.
Good luck to you! I just started this too, so I'm feeling the way you are...tired of feeling uncomfortable...time to get healthy! Hope things go well for you!!

Welcome and I know what you mean about ache...I just turned 31 in June and my knee's feel terrible. I just weighed in at 269... ridiculous. I started using this site about four months ago and was doing really well. I lost 5 Ibs and was on my way but then the summer started and I was busy at BBQ, weddings and parties. It's been tough but I'm excited to be back and ready to get going again.
Welcome, and Good Luck!!![]()
Thanks for the encouragement. I know what you mean about BBQs, etc. I've never been one to turn down good food for any reason. It's amazing what could be accomplished with will power and self control. I wish the very best of luck....hang in there.
