New mom, I want to lose 30 lbs. Anyone wants to join me?

I had a C-section two months ago. I am 26 years old and I gained 60 lbs in my pregnancy. I know I should have been carefull, but now it's too late.

I lost 30 lbs and I have 30 to go. I am in a plateau right now. I exercise about 3 times a week.

I need someone to motivate me and someone I can motivate too. I have never been this fat, and I will never be this fat again. I know I will lose this weight!!!

Anyone there?

Are you breastfeeding?    Because that helped me lose all my baby weight all three times.  For my first I gained 58 lbs and I ended up losing about 65 by the time he was a year... but I KNOW that breastfeeding doesn't work for everyone else that way.    But it does take about 500 extra calories a day to produce enough milk so just make sure if you nursing that you counting that in!

Wow, that is great! I am exactly the same weight as you are right now!

I am 5'6.

After the birth, I weighted myself and I was at the same weight!!!!! It was insane. Then I realized I had water retention and lost about 20 lbs really easy and fast. Then I lost 10 more. I was about 202 lbs and now 173.

Now it's the hard work. I am going to the YMCA, eating the lean cuisine meals.... People say I look alright for a girl who just had a baby (2 months), but none of my clothes fit.

I decided I wont buy any clothes untill I can fit the old ones. My biggest problem is that my legs are so big, none of my pants pass my legs.

I am cutting calories. I cut the sweets too. Its painfull, but it has a purpose. I am determined. I am too young to feel so ugly. I want my body back.

Did you gain a lot of weight too in your pregnancy? Oh i wish I had controlled more.

I feel so bad I couldn't breastfeed for more than a month. My milk dried and I didn't have enough in first place, anyway.

I feel the worst mother on earth. :-( And I don't get the benefit of losing weight fast because of that!

Oh well...

Hello, I'm not a new mom but do have a daughter that's 12 years old... I too am trying to lose 30 lbs and would love to join you in the wonderful travel of dieting... I started this Calorie count thing about 2-3 weeks ago and I love it, but at my age I think its gonna be a bit harder for me to lose the weight in the time i want to, I'll be 35 in September and I've only lost about 2.5 lbs not much; it's really hard to try and try and not lose a thing, my bad days are the weekends I seem to think it's okay to eat... do you have any suggestions for the weekends...?

Hi there

I wish you luck.I had a child in Dec 2007 by c-section ( all 3 of my kids where by c-section). Any who i gained tuns of weight cause they thought i was going to ahev twins ( long story). On Feb 14 i went back into to get tubes tied and i had a tear in my uterus and every since than i cant lose weight!! So here i am sitting at 150 and im in need of motavation as well.PS im 24

I get going well for the first week than i stop. If i can help in anyway i will!

Congrats on the baby!

P.S.

Im here lol

I am 5' 7" 156 lbs 33 tears old Female!  I had my twins by c-section in February of 07.  They are 15 months old now but I am still holding on too a lot of weight.  I gained 65 pounds with them and did breastfeed for 1 year but I used that as an excuse to just eat more and more.  When I stopped bf I had 10 lbs left to lose before my start weight.  I lost those 10 lbs and 9 more but I still can't fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes.  It is so frustrating that my midsection is holding on to the weight like a sponge.

I have 21 lbs left to lose to get to my ideal weight.  I have been doing this for 2 months now and it has worked really well for me.  Weekends are very hard but I pick one day that is my "cheat day" and I let myself eat more than normal.  I find that this actually boosts my matabolism and it has a positive affect on my weight loss.  I don't go crazy but I don't limit myself to 1400 cals.

Good luck to everyone and any advice for me or questions are welcome.  Oh buying a food scale was very helpful for me because I was sick of guessing and this helped me!!
