Im new and the other one I came across is like 10 pages long.

Id like to get to know you.

I have 2 children 18 months apart.  before my wedding I was 125ish, then by the time the wedding honeymoon etc... then durring TTC I crept all the way to 165 before I became preg with #1, then got to 209 before birth, made it to 155 and became preg again, got to 191 and now 5.5 months later im at 158.  My goal is to get to 130/135.

my hubby is also exercising and eating healthy with me as he has also gained some weight.

I want to get to my goal the latest by my sons first birthday, but ultimatly by christmas this year.  and we have told ourselfs that if we get there by march then for our 5 th anniversary we will go on a really good trip.  Ive already got it all planned out too

so tell me about yourself!

gosh noone?
It's most likely you will start getting replies once babies are in bed, or early in the am... It's kind of tough for me to post during the day, but hey, Welcome to the site!!! And yes, I am one of those mommies in the 10 pages long one...

I am mommy to 4 boys, ages 7 to 2. I was 120 when I married hubby, and 4 babies later I  started this site at 176. I'm now 168/169 (frustatting yo yo right now, but I will break out of it!)

Check out my journal's first entry to learn more about me, but good for you for having goals with your hubby! gotta run, babies aren't in bed yet (grin)
I'm a mommy!! :)

I'm a SAHM with two kids (a boy who will be 4 in a couple weeks and a little girl who will be 2 this fall.

I'm 29...for one more whole day lol!

I joined this site a week ago but I've been dieting and exercising for about a month now.

I'm 5'4" and my starting weight was 190. My goal weight is around 125-130lbs.

My hubby is also trying to eat healthier too. That helps!

Nice to "meet" you!! :)
 Hello, Twocutekids.

That's awesome that your husband is also trying to eat healthier too. It makes it a lot easier when your husband/family tries with you. My husband has lost weight too, since I've started being healthier. By changing my habits, I've changed a lot of his as well. Just with little things like ' what type of mayo we buy ' ect. Or what type of ' bread ' Instead of getting something with 70 calories in each slice we get Sarah Lees with 45 calories. He hasn't even had to actually 'diet.' Just those little differences in what we buy, caused him to lose weight too.

He also jogs with me and plays tennis. I love that he wants to be involved in what I'm doing. It's great. Makes me feel like we're growing together. Growing healthier. Lol Just think you should give your man a high five for being involved.

Love it. =-P  Mine hubby even weighs in with me daily. I'm sure his support has contributed to my success.
YAY i love this, and clarkplace is right...its hard to post during the day my little one fell asleep about 20 min ago. i am fairly new to this site and i just post on whichever threads i find interesting.

i am 18 years old and a mommy to isaiah, who is 15 months old. before him i weighed about 115, and now i am at about 130, i would like to get back down to my pre-pregnancy body, especially because i want to have another sometime in the near future and i have made it my goal to get back in shape before i do (that way after my second child is born, the weight wont be DOUBLE) lol

but anyways nice to meet everyone. Lookin forward to getting to know ya!

AND TWOCUTEKIDS HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!
twocutekids, Happy birthday!!!

I forgot to add im 28.

Its great to "meet" you all.  would you believe it, its only 1am and ive been up with my baby twice already and he went to bed at 8:30!  He is already teething, I can feel one of the bottoms and the other I can see is gonna pop soon.

After nursing him for an hour and still not sleepy, I even tried a bottle, and he is still awake, I just put him under his mobile to see if he can fall asleap hisself.  (has YET to do that!!)

oh, my son is 5.5 months and My daughter will be 2 on the 31st.
Wow. Perhaps, you should try giving him a bath. My baby wasn't fussy about sleeping through the night. She did so at five months through the night. She's always went to sleep at 8pm and wakes up about 8am. ( sometimes 7.. sometimes 8:45 ) But, generally within that range. She took two naps during the day. One around noon time. The other later in the afternoon. But, she's always been really good about naps/sleeping. I just give my baby her blankie and she snuggles her face into it. ( thumb in mouth when she was younger ) then nods right off. She just started taking one longer nap in the afternoon, rather than two.

You need to find what his " comfort blanket " is. It may be a bear or a soft animal. My mother said my older sister didn't have a " comfort blanket " she had to sing to her.'You're my sunshine 'every night, or when it was nap time.

I hope you find your baby boy's soon. =-P
hello all,

i joined the site about 3 weeks back... i did go through the 10 page long thread, and its difficult to catch up with people who've been here long... nice u started another one...

i'm shruti, i'm from india. my baby boy "Aadi" is 6 months old. he too was fussy about sleeping... his dad used to rock him to sleep in his arms every night (hours on some nights)... but now he has started falling asleep on his own :) though we co-sleep i dont disturb him when i lay him on the bed to sleep. i dim the lights and he gets the clue... e turns over to the other side (incidently thats his dad's habit, to turn to the other side when he sleeps next to anyone) and goes off to sleep....

i'm 28 and weigh 171.6 lbs and my target is 140 lbs by aadi's first birthday - 23rd feb....

twocutekids - happy birthday!!!
Shruti & enchantingimage , good to meet you!  I was co-sleeping up till about a few weeks ago, he now decided he likes to sleep by hisself (although most nights we still sleep together for an hour or so after nursing).

he is just differnt than my daughter, she was sleeping threw the night at 8 weeks, but she also took a paci, he is a true breast man!  He needs to be nursed to sleep, wont take a paci, and just in the last 2 weeks FInally will take a bottle.

I dont mind getting up in the middle of the night as I know its not gonna last, he was sleeping for 5 hours at a time, but he is cutting 1 tooth and the other is right there, plus he is doing the military crawl the last few days and seems like everytime I lay him down (oh he is a belly sleeper) he can be completely out and as soon as he hits the matteress he tries to crawl.

Shruti, that is cute about your boy and daddys habit.  My son has one too, he rubs his feet to relax, my dh does the same thing when he falls asleap.

klmiam,  its a good idea to try to lose the weight first... but if that means your gonna have them spaced out fruther than you want, wether you lose the weight now or all of it after the 2nd is born, youve gotta spend the same amt of time doing it. ;)
HI IM fairly new to this site too..What is withthe weight gain after you get married It must be in fine print at the bottom of the marriage licence LOL.  I just had number 3 baby and am trying to take off 37lbs which is accually 20 less than when I got married..Super life style change for me.  Im a stay at home mom and this is great grown up time for me in the mist of Dora the explorer and sponge bob what ever pants..... HAHA.  Im 29 and 5'6" 177 lbs.  IM doing the south beach diet and just trying to make healthy choices
Welcome:

I've got 3 boys, the first two were 16 mo apart and then there was about 30 mo before the next one. They're now 4, 3, and 5.5 months (just like you healthleigh).  I gained about 45-50 pounds with each one. Lost most of the weight with running and Weight Watchers after the first two and then decided to do CC (as it was free and more convenient).

I'm 5'4" and am 155 right now, with 1st goal of 143 (pre-preg weight) and 2nd goal of 135. I'm nursing right now, but because I work & pump (and never seem to get as much pumping as I could nursing) I'm going to start to wean. I'm wondering how to wean effectively and manage my calorie intake...

Good luck everyone.
Hi ladies,

SO, I also joined the other mommies group (which is wonderful and full of fabulous gals), but figured, what the hell, I'll post on this one too.

OK, so, my name is Ande.  I live in South Korea.  I have a four month old daughter, kenzie.  Pre-pregnancy, I was 122lbs.  A few days after I delivered, I was 160lbs.  I didn't get too serious about my weight loss until about a month and a half ago, but I have been working my butt off, and am now down to 117lbs! woohoo...only a few more pounds to go!

Other than that, ummm, I'm originally from WA State.  My hubby is from NC.  ...I am a proud military wife, I LOVE chocolate and wine (my two major downfalls when it comes to dieting!), hmmm... I dunno!   I suppose I'll talk to all of you later, gonna browse the site some more...  she just fell asleep like 20 minutes ago...

Hope you enjoy your weekend!

hey hi all of you.... good to see you all.... how frequently do you all weigh yourselves? i do that every week... every sunday actually... but because i've got projects going on in quite aa few places (3 precisely and they are 100 kms apart from each other!!!) i usually am not home EVERY sunday to weigh myself... :( i'm confused since the scale at my home shows me at 82 kgs (thats a whooping 180.4 lbs) and the one at my mother's place (which is incidently the place where i've got a project going on) shows it at 78 kgs (thats 171.6 lbs) of course i LOOOVE the scale at my mom's place... but now i've decided to consider the weight ffrom my scale...

today i'm meeting a local dietician and also signing up for aerobics classes.... hope that'll help me 'coz i'm a group person... i love to do something in a crowd... i hate exercising alone.... lets hope the scale tilts next sunday!!!
