any new moms out there? i've got a six month old.  i was 187 before baby.  i lost all pg weight (50 lbs) but my clothes don't fit, because my body is all contorted now.  not that it was all that fabulous before.  i am down to 182, and i want to have another baby in a year or two, but i gotta get this weight off first.  i am breastfeeding, so i have to have 1500 calories a day.  i have been doing great for the past two weeks.  i dieted and exercised (5 times a week).  but, i will need a buddy to keep it up.

i am doing the special k challenge right now, where you replace two meals a day with cereal.  that will last until june 14.  then i will have a few days of normal dieting, and then a vegetarian diet until the end of the month.

Hi Steph, Well My baby is 1 year old. I lost all of my baby weight too and some. So Im really happy about that. But just resently I found out that Im pregnant again.

About the special K challenge I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I found when I did it, I snacked alot more and ended up going over my cals for the day. It really doesn't fill me up, so I figure I should just eat somehting that fills me up with the same amount of cals. Like and egg white omlete or somthing!! YUM! Well hope to keep in touch!
Hi Guys!  I'm kinda a new mom, my boy is 2 1/2 and I just had a
girl 4 1/2 months ago.  So how did you guys lose your baby weight,
any tricks?  I'm about the same weight now as when I got pregnant
the second time, but I didn't lose the first pregnancy's weight.
I think the only reason I didn't have too much left from preg #2 is
because I lost 20 lbs to morning sickness!  If only it were that
easy without being sick! Congrats on your little bundles!
Hey there, I just exercised and ate healthy. I lost 65 lbs in total since Alex popped out. I weigh less now then when I got pregnant with him.
i can see how you would be tempted to snack more on special k diet.  i snack plenty.  i am just sure to stay below 1500 calories a day.  i often slice up half a banana on my cereal, or pour a couple of mini boxes of raisins on there.  and i have a three o'clock snack every day.  sometimes it's just a 100 cal yogurt, sometimes it's more substantial.  it depends on what i plan on having for dinner.
I just had my baby Last March (06)...so I think our babies our close in age...mine is going to be 3 months 19th of June. Man that breastfeeding burns some serious calories I would be BF ing too but I had probs with that... but 50lbs is great..my goal is to lose 70 lbs.
I know what you mean about your body bein' all jacked up, my belly is like whoa...it's never looked like that ....but look at it this way atleast you are down to your pre-pregnancy weight. Thats really good!
i have a 2 year old little girl and a 1 year old little girl. i've lost all my weight from the pregnancies now i just want to loose about 30 more pounds so that i can look a little close to 23 and not like my flabby saggy gma lol
I have a 4 month old and she is so sweet, but I am lugging a few extra pounds.  I have 18lb more that I want to lose, been on C-C for 3 weeks and already down 5lbs, yippee.  Best of luck!

Hi,

I'm also a new mum- my daughter turned 8 mnths today! I have 5.5 lbs to lose til i'm pre-preg weight which is my 1st goal (i weighed in at 143.5 today) then i'd like to lose about 10-15 lbs on top of that- but really, i'd be quite happy around 135-138- i think i look pretty good at that size!
I know what you mean about the body changes though- my hip bones are definitley wider (will they go back ever?!) and my tummy is not quite as flat as before in the lower abs. I've started doing crunches and squats etc at home while my baby plays on the floor and im already noticing a difference- so i feel like there is hope. It really is taking time and perseverence- i was 193 when i delivered and then got stuck at 177 for months until i started counting cals and then the weight started coming off. I breastfeed too (no formula but she's eating some solids) so i try to keep my cals about 1500 also.
Walking with the baby and just being active in general is also helping.

Congratulations on all the bouncing babies! Aren't they all so worth the weight gain?!
