New Movie Release Reviews

Hey all, Just wondering if anyone has seen the following movies: The Contract, The Shooter, Zodiac, Knocked Up, Chuck & Larry, or Hot Fuzz....?

These are all movies I am thinking about renting or going to see and am curious what everyone here thinks about them... or any other new movies you would reccommend or not reccommend

I liked The Contract a lot, good movie

Rented Zodiac but have yet to watch it

Heard Knocked Up was really funny from some and really stupid from others, haven't seen it myself

I really enjoyed "Shooter". I thought Mark Whalberg did a good job with the story line.

Chuck and Larry and Knocked up were both hysterical. I love Adam Sandler and the guy from the 40 year old virgin. They were both a lot of fun.

You should rent "300", especially if you have surround sound. Now that, was awesome.

knocked up was HILARIOUS, but if you are easily offended don't bother with it.

My  boyfriend just watched 300, we still have it. He was dissappointed with the story line but liked it visually so i might watch it after all

I saw Hot Fuzz and found it hysterical - and I'm not ususally turned on by the Buddy Cop/Many Action movies, but the parody was HYSTERICAL!  :) 

I definately give Hot Fuzz a "Yarp". 

I have seen:

The Shooter - was good both Hubby and I enjoyed it, definatly reccomend it.

Zodiac - Is a good movie, great for two reasons...one based on a true story and two well Jakey boy is in it and those blue eyes of his will kill you.

Haven't seen any others on the list.

thanks for the tip mud. Isn't zodiac pretty long though? id it seem to drag on at all? I really want to see it but don't want to be bored

I have seen Shawn of the Dead, and yes it was funny.  It's the same group of people who did Hot Fuzz.  The ironic thing is that judging from the trailers, I didn't want to see EITHER movie.  But when I sat down and watched them, it was worth my time.  :)  Then again, I love British humor and the American trailers don't show any of THOSE parts. 

I haven't been to many movies lately.  I haven't had free time to spend at the theater!  I haven't even seen Harry Potter 5.  I really want to see Stardust (when it comes out), but I love Neil Gaiman. 

yeah, far as i can tell i think i enjoy british humor as well

Hot Fuzz was great, but I'm not sure if it's in the theaters anymore, might be inbetween that and DVD....

I dont really go to the theater that much so i usually see new releases once they are dvd.  I have an account with that Blockbuster movie thing where they mail you the new dvd when they come out.  I love it.

I havent seen any of the movies you asked about but i did recently see Premonition and The Messangers....I really liked both of them. I'm waiting for The Number 23 and Zodiac to be sent to me.  Oh, i also saw Ghostrider...i thought it was pretty good.  Nicholas Cage is one of my favorite actors.

Hot Fuzz is out of theaters and will be released on DVD this month, which is why the previews for it are back out. 

I think i want to see The Invasion with nicole kidman and that movie where will smith is the last man on earth (as if that would be a bad thing), but that doesnt come out until january i think

I want to see that movie that i think will be out on dvd soon with Hilary Swank, i think is called The seven deadly Plagues or something along those lines. I believe it also stars dakota fanning

no desire to see ghostrider, i heard people were yelling about how much it sucked as they left the theater from some friends who saw it. But if i catch it on tv down the road i'll probably watch it

I like Transformers a lot. I thought it was funny and cute and made me feel like a kid again. I like the part where the robot thing flicks the human and says 'disgusting' *chuckles*

That movie with Hilary Swank is The Reaping .... i want to see that movie too.  It looks really good.

Has anyone seen the preview for that new movie with Lindsay Lohan I know who killed me ....i kind of looks good.  What do you guys think?
