New One Here

Hi,

This is the first time for me to join a weight loss forum. Never thought that I needed one, but in Dec. I ran into some pretty scary medical problems. My existing medical problems have progressed to where I can't ignore it anymore and I know my weight has a lot to do with it.

I'm taking heart medication and am also taking a blood thinner. I know that once the Dr's. feel that the medication has had enough time to work they will start suggesting that I seriously start losing weight. So, I guess it's time to look for that support and realize that I can't do it on my own.

hi dcmerkle,

There are too many of us that got here because our health was failing from overweight and its side effects, and as many more that are underweight and battling eating disorders.

Fill out a profile and some information about yourself, and you will likely find someone in the same boat and the same age to partner with for support.  By all means, post in the forums and let us know how you are feeling, up or down.  Ask questions, give us advice when you have the experience someone else is needing, and you will find a lot of caring people here.

Welcome, and good luck.

Hi Fransen,

Thanks for the welcome. I'm still trying to figure out how this site works, but once I do I hoping to post as often as I can.

Good luck, my Mum is in the same boat as you, so I can understand that right now you're probably quite stressed and concerned.

Set mini targets and reward yourself with non food items when you hit the targets.

Stick with it xx
