New years resolution

Quote  |  Reply

ok, so my new years resolution is to not eat french fries. Every time i go out to eat, i always seem to get them. it has to stop. haha. say if a get a veggie burger at a restaurant, im going to ask them to switch the side of fries for veggies or something. I seem to equate going out with french fries. there are much healthier choices!

anyone else have a new years resolution involving food?

good luck with the no fries.

mine is to make my lunch everyday...i eat out/frozen meals way too much!

i put together my lunch last night for today...but forgot it at home...GREAT START  =)

you mean cut them out all  together? like not even have them once all year? sounds tough

the side order of veggies sounds GREAT!!

yea its a little harsh, but hey, ill be thanking myself in the end. i actually got sauted mushrooms onions and peppers last time i went out and they were yummy! (ok so i stole a couple of my BF's fries, hey it was december 29th haha)

so if i have a couple, ill live, but i wont order them for myself. there that sounds easier!

it sounds pretty harsh, but good luck. Just watch what you swap for the fries. The sauteed mushrooms onions and peppers could be pretty high in fat. Maybe once in a while you can make homeade french fries that are baked, that way they will be less of a forbidden fruit.

Remember girls!

Nothing tastes better as being thin feels...

So quit the fries!! Good choice.

My new year resolution is to loose 20 pounds, and have a healthier life style all together.

 Good Luck!

ksalkanovic - you've obviously never had my mom's chocolate pie. It tastes lots better than thin feels. To be honest, I don't like that expression, just because it makes it seem like you can't eat anything that tastes good if you want to be thin, which isn't true. Ok, no more soap box.

 LMAO, that's pretty darn funny!

To be honest though, I have to say thin tastes pretty darn good... I like Low Body Fat percentage more tho.... I tell ya sometimes I get hella grouchy not having what I want; then I get all the comments like "Oh, so that's why you're in such good shape.... I was wondering!" *god I love those comments*

My NY Resolutions:

  • Drop 2% Body Fat (according to the DEXA, I want to be at 18% BF by my 25th Bday in July)
  • Learn to be more patient, kind, and giving to my mom
  • Buy a house/condo
  • Rent that house/condo for cheap to one of my relatives
  • Pay off more than 1/2 my student loans
  • Transfer to Cal State East Bay
  • Get settled into my new position after the 1st quarter

I gotta say getting thin and then putting the weight back on again! thin does taste better! However we all get wher we need to be by going through what we must. that being said I think no french fries can be done if you do no french fries just for today rather then for a whole year. That is where I think it gets hard. Trade it for something equeally as pleasing to your tasebuds but healthy!

My resoluton is to take my like back.

Lose some weight and keep it off, so by the time my son is two I can keep up!
