Hello Everyone! 

I'm a 23 year old overweight female looking for running partners.  I'm 242 lbs and 5'6", if you need a visual.  I'm looking for someone (or some people) to start running with because I feel that having a group or person who I'm accountable to (and can call me and ask where I am) will help me get my big bum in gear.

Now, before you volunteer for this task, you need to know the following about me:

  • I'd like to start February 1st
  • I do not currently run, so someone at my level (i.e. an overweight non-runner) who wants to start would be beneficial
  • I am not available Wednesdays
  • My goal is to run 1k by October 5th, for the CIBC Run for the Cure.  This will be my 3rd year participating, and it's time I ran instead of walked.
  • A friend from out of town is also participating and may join us from time to time.
  • I am not planning on doing C25k or any other plan - just going with my gut (so to speak) and doing what feels good.

That being said, if anyone in Toronto (preferably downtown or Waterfront, but I'm flexible!) is interested, please please please let me know.

It's time to start 2009 right!

P.S. Coffee meet first, of course, to meet and make friends.  The More the Merrier!
