Hi, my son just turrned 1 a month ago and I am still having trouble loosing weight. I loose and I gain which is frustrating. I hope counting calories will help me reach my goal to 125 (currently 150). If anyone has any advise please share. thanks.
Welcome to the forum, I look forward to hearing from you. The only advice I'll give is to read Jarod Fogle's book on how to solve a major problem. He was the subway guy who lost 245 pounds in a year. That is a smart man really knows what he is talking about, but 25 pounds shouldn't take a major life change you ought to be alright.
Sincerely,
Sam
i say welcome to CC, there are numerous resources available in the different threads to help you figure out a plan, but just to get you started...it's wise to do a preliminary diet check to see how many calories you are currently maintaining on and take that into account when choosing a calorie range. What are your ultimate goals? what are your stats and how much physical activity do you do in a day?
HI there,
It can be tricky, especially if you're breastfeeding. I found that if I limited my calories too much=no milky. If that's not the case, I think this will work well for you right away. (I just started on this site yesterday myself, after I found myself gaining weight due to stress, and need to nip it in the bud. I feel better mentally right away!)
When I was loosing pregnancy pounds, my regular weight was also 125. I was a big gainer during each of my pregnancies, so I would end up having 40-60lbs to lose each time. What I did that was effective, was to eat foods that were as unprocessed as humanly possible. That means veggies and fruits, lean meats, whole wheat, and low fat dairy. Nothing too fun, unfortunately, but I ate till I was full so I could still nurse. Once I was about 15 lbs from my goal weight, I would count calories, eating about 1300 calories daily. It was only 1-2 pounds per week, but it worked like a charm. Also some exercise, even if it's brisk walks with the stroller each day. (Eases your tension too!)
Good luck to you!
Thanks for the input. I'm going to try that..unprocessed foods. I really can't say its baby weight since it's been year since my son was born. I'm gonna try hard though because let me tell ya its stressful having to worry about this weight thing.
Why do I get bad cramps after I eat?
