Not new to the site, but new to posting!!!! Maybe this will help...
Hey there! I know exactly what you mean! I have started a diet and kept a log on here for about 2 days only to feel guilty about eating something bad and giving up. I have officially made up my mind last Tuesday and have lost 8 lbs so far. If I can do it, then anyone can do it.
What I am trying to do and I would recommend it for anyone - is to find someone that lives close to you with the same goals that you can work out with. My cousin used to live down the street from me and we would take walks together but then she moved away...I find it harder to take the walks by myself. It is much easier to find something to do at home! So, a good support buddy would be great!
Just keep your head high and if you do stumble and fall and you feel like you just want to give up - that is when you pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and KEEP GOING!! ![]()
I am a big snacker, but what I did was bought a lot of fruits and vegetables. They fill you up and they are healthy. Also buy the healthier snack bars, 100 calorie snacks. I am so thankful that Hershey's came out with the 60 calorie dark chocolate sticks. They are so good and do the job of giving me some chocolate, but not a whole bar that is really bad. So bottom line is that your snacks have to be healthier and much more filling. I was always one like you that started dieting on a Monday and by Friday, I was eating a big burger at a fast food place. Just change gradually. I have lost 15 pounds but a lot more in inches because of exercising also. Just starting walking a mile or two a day, force yourself to do it. I started in April and just this past weekend I ran 6.2 miles on a relay team for the local marathon. You can do it.

So you can log your weight -- which allows you to do the following:
- Plot your weight curve
- Analyze the trend of your weight (see under Recent in the figure above)
- Determine the projected target date (see under Overall in the figure above)
