New sneakers advice!
When I jog on the treadmill, I always get blisters half way up my toe on my second and third toes. Since I am going to be picking out new running sneakers for christmas, I was hoping someone could recommend a good type/brand or anything I should be looking for that would help with this problem.
Thanks.
I am an Asics lover. That said, find out if there's a specialty running store near you. They will be able to analyze your gait as well as do a really good fitting overall and be able to recommend the best type for you.
My last few pairs have been Asics but what I would recommend is to go to a running store and have then figure out what type of shoe is best for you. After that, try a BUNCH on and run around the store a bit. That's what I do and it seems to work out good.
I'm a fan of Asics as well! I'm also a pretty heavy duty runner and my doc of course recommended switching them out every 3 or 4 months...so I don't buy expensive ones. You might want to assess the way your run because there are gel in most shoes that can be matched up to the part of your foot that takes the most force when landing. I usually buy Saucony because I love the absorbent sole, especially if you run on concrete. But the Asics price is right, do they have the same feature in the sole?
I'd recommend Asics, Brooks, or Mizunos (my personal favovites). Anything but Nike or Adidas really.
I like asics, saucony, and new balance (all are brands recomonded by my orthopedist). I have found that saucony tends to have a wider toe box, which might help w/ the rubbing.
I have these: http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/34335421/c/5300. html and I love them!
How often should you eat during the day?
It is neither necessary to eat every two hours nor to stop eating at 6:00 PM. As long as your calorie intake is less than your output... Read more
