Not new, but starting..again...for the third time.
I always seem to fall off the bandwagon with the weight loss, ![]()
Former CC user (who will keep her identity secret, due to my being embarrassed about it lol.), with sixty pounds to lose. Sigh. Just needing encouragement and figuring out how to lose this without giving up.
I'm 20 and in college, 5'3" and 170. Anyone the same?
Anyway, hellooooo!
It is hard in the beginning because you can feel a difference, but you still apear heavy. Somedays i feel like i am gaining but it is just a phycological thing. I realize that by always logging all of my calories and staying at or a little under my goal calorie consumption helps me to realize that even though sometimes i don't feel great i am doing good. Logically, if you take in less calories then you actually burn you will lose weight. if I go over a few calories i don't give up i just try extra hard the next time to stay with in my limit. I have found things i like to eat that keep me from going over my limit. I also have given my self one day a month to go over my limit if i am with my friends and go out to eat or go to a movie. I just make sure it is not more than once or twice a month. You have to give your self a break day once a month. I also do not take in food high in fat. I work out everyday doing different things to not get bored. I take a break from working out on sunday to let my body rest. I have planned out my next day of eating and log it to make sure i don't go over my calories. I also leave 200 calories (sometimes), so that i can have something extra or healthy if i need it. I stay under my limit by 200 calories when i plan the day before incase i need a healthy snack to get me through.
Thank you, guys!
It's been a struggle attempting to stay on track, especially with college and my extremely weird schedule (I kid you not): it's harder when you have to go to class seven hour straight nonstop Tuesdays and Thursdays, when I have to decide "what to pack," to eat during my only two 10 minute breaks.
This is me again. I hear you, I also go to college at night and do my student teaching during the day. That is why i do the day before planning, that i was talking about in the other message. I have found the cheepest and fastest thing is the Lean Gourmet meals. They are also in the food log on this site. They are small meals and warm up fast. If you can't get around a microwave, make a sandwich and take some cottage cheese. You could also take a cup of healthy cereal and 1/2 a cup of milk in seperate containers and eat this when you get a chance. You have to eat or else you will feel really starved by the end of the day and will try to over eat.
