I am a mother of 3 children, From the ages of 15 to 2years old and its hard work, but it also means lots of goodies at home and some very tempting chocolates, i know i shouldnt buy them, but my partner has a bad habit of loving sweet stuff from cakes to custard to chocolates and late night snacks, i have fallen in to this nasty habit.

Ive got to stop because i hate what i see in the mirror, i feel fat and ugly, this has reflected on my relationship,as i have lost alot of confidence and do not like to be seen in a bikini let alone underwear lol, Embarassed, wel its my own fault, so here i am, and i am gonna do it this time.

Just wanna say i feel i have a mountain to climb with 3 stone in total to lose, but with the help of everyone on here and this very helpfull free sight, i think i can be motivated enough to do it.

Lucy, you already did the hardest thing to do, admit that you need help and that it's not going to be an easy process but a constant work in process, good for you!  The boards can be very supportive and packed with information and the tools are great so I would suggest that you get yourself aquainted with them.  Most of all good luck with your efforts and remember you are NEVER alone!

You can do this - the site is wonderful and the people on it are supportive and encouraging.

 

Making your home "safe" is goign to be key - so if you think there are foods in the house that are dangerous, please share this with your partner and kids ... my husband and I have some agreemenbts about certain foods that I cannot have in the house.  Or if he brings them into the house, I cannot know about it or see it - he has a little secret area for his stash that I never see and he respects my request and only eats those extremely dangerous foods if I am not at home.

 

Stay positive and make it a routine to come here several times a day to help you stay focused ..... best of luck!

 

Hi! I'm new here aswell, just joined today = ) We're in the same boat I have 3 & a half stone to lose.. my best advice is to take it slowly losing weight gradually is BEST & don't give up if u slip one day, just continue the day after.. take one day at a time. Every 3-7 kilos is a 'milestone' when you get to a milestone give yourself promised reward & up your exercise/lower your calories abit because as you slim it gets harder to lose weight so you have to keep pushing yourself a lil' further every milestone to lose all your weight. My first milestone reward will be that I can finally buy new clothes! I prohibited myself from buying new clothes until I lose weight.

First of all, don't get to down on yourself about your body and looks. In your picture you look gorgeous!

As for the sweets just pick up some sugar free jello, sugar free pudding, or sugar free hard candy, or even fruit cups so that when your husband and kids are snacking you can have a little something sweet without ruining your diet.  I keep those kind of snacks on hand all the time for when my boyfriend pulls out the candy bars and fatty snacks haha.

I've been here for well over a year. I lost weight and started eating properly. That became almost a hobby and now I eat very healthy meals, stopped all soda, no trans fat, greatly reduced alcohol, and started exercising like crazy. Lost over 30lbs over the year and feel great. The vast majority of people on this site are very helpful and entertaining. I have picked up tons of ideas and a few laughs along the way. The other surprising thing is how many people are in the same situations or have the same problems I had. Follow the CC plan and you'll do fine

I'm new as well and just wanted to say Good Luck! You are gorgeous and you can do it!  I want to lose about 20 lbs, and I've got to say it's been a struggle so far, but checking this community every night has really helped me to stay motivated.  I hope it will do the same for you!
