New and wanted to say hi

Quote  |  Reply

Hi, everybody!

I'm new to this community and would like to say I'm very excited at starting a calorie counting diet. I've done calorie counting on my own in the past but had a hard time continuing on my own. I am hoping to find the motivation and encouragement here, making new friends and sharing with all of you who have similar goals.

I'm 25 years old, 5'4" and 113lbs. Ideally I'd like to get down to about 108lbs. My diet will be very restrictive...at 25 I'm starting to see some signs of aging and want to be proactive in preventing these signs by watching what I consume. (I recently read the sugar, refined or any type of foods that breakdown into glucose, can help cause wrinkles eek!) So now I am eating lots of food rich in antioxidants and drinking lots of green tea along with my 8 glasses of water a day. If anybody has any other tips, advice or just want to discuss ways of looking/feeling younger longer I'll be all for it!

Hope I didn't ramble on too much! Looking forward to meeting you all :-D

Welcome to the site!  Your BMI is already pretty low and your goal is even closer to the lowest end off this site.  Please be careful.

Be forewarned that a very restrictive diet can lead to problems and weight gain after you stop restricitng.  A female age 19+ should not go below 1200 calories per day unless under doctor's supervision.

Visit the library to learn more about balanced diets.
