Hi everyone, I am from the Reno, Tahoe area and recently moved to Richland WA because of my husbands work. I am also in recovery from alcohol and drugs but since getting sober in March, I have put on 20 pounds. I am NOT going back to the drugs to lose weight so here I am, On a regular diet! So far I have lost 8 pounds.

Anybody out there who can relate?

YAY for you!!!! Congratulations on coming through those obstacles. I also live in WA, but in the Seattle area. Thats about 4 hours from you. My boyfriends  extended family is in your area, the Kenniwick, Tri-cities, and Richland parts. We visit there every summer.. not a lot to do there as I'm sure you've noticed but definetly a nice area. Anyhow I have added you on as a friend and will be peeping at your journey to see your progress. Good luck and I wish you much success and you always have a CC friend in me!

Hello there,

Welcome to Washington!  I too moved here from CA, 2 years ago for my husbands work.  Its quite an adjustment from Southern CA.:-) I live in South Seattle which is quite far from you but if you are ever up this way, let me know & we can get together for coffee or a walk or something healthy.

Congrats too on being in recovery! That is awesome. I come from a family of addicts, so I know how difficult each day can be, and how strong you have to be.

Hang in there, keep up the good work!!:-)

I'm ALSO from Seattle, but I'm a student at WSU so for 9 months of the year, I live in Pullman.... so I can relate with the scenery on this side of the state! ;)

Anyway, good luck with everything! And welcome, of course!

Hello Everyone!  I am glad you are losing weight healthily and I think it is great you are in recovery...  Good luck with everything!

Hi I am staying in Richland for the shut down with the hubby. I so can relate to you I have just hit 2 years sober from a bad meth addiction...
