Hello everyone, here is the Group Plan Layout.

I will be closing this after I get my first 25. I think we can get to know each other a lot better if we keep it small. It hasn't grown as big as I thought it would over night, but I am looking for more people to join.

So, 25 is the number of people I'm looking for.

As for weigh'ns. I would like to get that ball rolling as well.

Every Monday will be our weigh'n day. Starting Monday 8th.

I  also want us to share our plans for the month ahead.

Focus points will be giving monthly.

This month Focus points will be.

Water 60oz to 80oz a day.
2 Fruits per day. " To cut down on sugar cravings."
1 salad per day and Steamed Veggie. "We need veggies in our diet."
Chewing gum. To deal with those no no cravings. Just chew gum if you know you ate something just 10 mins ago. I always grab fruit- but gum does work.
Cardio every day, and resistance training twice a week.
And share your feelings when you feel you are going to jump the wagon. We need to share so we can help each other.

What is your one goal for the month? " No matter what you choose, work on that one goal for the month. It really pays off."

My one goal for the month is to get back into my cardio workout.

This is a start.

A day late, but my weigh in for the week is 149. I seem t be hovering around that same 148-150 mark each week. If I could push myself to get in regular work-outs, I know I would have better results.

I weighed myself yesterday to find myself back up to 206.  I was not surprised. 

alright.... i seem to be stuck at 183.... i think i have lost some inches, because some of my jeans are fitting better and stuff is looking firmer..... i must be gaining muscle.... not stressing about it, the weight will come off eventually i am sure.... i'm working out about twice a day. I go for a light cardio work out in the mornings for about an hour, and every other day i do some weight training..... then in the evenings i go hard.... i take an african dance class on mondays, cycling class on tuesday and thursday, a hip hop class on wednesdays and a cardio kick boxing class on fridays....the weekend is my time off..... my guess i am buring about 800 cal a day.... i am eating between 1500 and 1900..... so most days i have a cal def between 600 and 900!!!!

 

It's gonna happen!!!

my guess is you should get a HRM to accurately measure how much you burn. WOW girl, I am so envious! Right now my schedule is so busy that i can barely fit 1/2 hr walk.

I'm going to restart the stepper workouts as soon as TOM is over [felt a bit weird today so I really don't want to mess wt it] ; my BP is always low and during TOM is too low; so i'm trying to avoid having other problems.

waiting for some feed back from my boss and then I can schedule my weekend wt my husband (he's off on Fri & Sat but naturally I work on Fri)

Yella, I think you are burning more than that. Your clothes are fitting better, and that's plus.. You are right... It's going to happen.. I can't say this enough.. Loook at those legs of yours.. Those legs are proof that it's gonna happen. Just keep working on you. I think you are a very active person.. I think you could be burning around what I maybe burning if not more. I've burned 2190 yesterday.. Weight training.. I burned over 440 calories, and 1 mile on the elliptical. I burned 130, and then cardio workout program dance.. I burned 580.... A total extra burn of 1150. Are bodies burn calories all day long. What I did was.. Set mines for a low active, and what I burn extra I add it in.. That's how I get my total. For the full day. There are some links you can go too.. You can really add your burn up there. I have to find the link, and get back to you.. You can also go to fitday, and set an account up there, and find out.. Where you need to be..

my bad... i meant to say i burn about 800 cal a day extra from working out.... yah no at sedentary my BMR or RMR is about 1600.... so that would be more like 2400 cals total i burn a day.....

yan.... yall are right i am burning way more than 800 per day, that wouldnt even make sense would it!!! LOL!!!

Yella~ Glad you see what we are talking about.. I know you was burning a hell of a lot more than that.. With 2 workouts.. You do yo thang girl, and keep on pushing forward.. You are going to get to where you want to be in time...

Now! We know what the weekend brings.. Good or bad weigh n's on monday, so lets keep on doing the best we can... We are going to have to make sure we do our best to keep the weight off this weekend, and not gain a damn thing. We are going to try to be perfect this weekend.. Eat perfect, and keep hope alive..

According to CC my sedentary BMR is 1600 cal. so I add whatever exercise I do and other stuff that burns calories (like bowling, shopping, playing pool, etc).

I am going to restart the stepper routine tomorrow , wt my normal HIIT program. Let's see how much stamina I have lol

Of course, before that I have some work to do (1/2 day to catch up wt some lost time while away). My to-do-list looks huge for next week but I'm going to try to add some workouts.

Yeah Cricket, it's 1710 for me. I don't get CC information, all of the other links I've been too has had me at different Sedentary BMR, so I use the one on CC, but I've went into low activity, and I add the rest in. It works that way for me.. It's a good way to really get your burn amount right.

I went to the gym this morning, and my burn was 470. I was doing weight training for hour, and I guess that's okay. The burn was different than the last burn. I was doing a lot more. I guess that's right. I wear a meter so it's as close as it's going to get.. Even if it's off by a few or more calories.. I will take it.

I'm going to walk the boys later on. ( My pit, and grey hound mix, and see how much I burn with the both of them pulling me.) I never get a change to really walk them. They are always walking me.. Or should I say.. Pulling me down the road.. It's a good workout for my legs. Tiger likes to look and see what's going on in the grass, and BoBo always wants to run, and it's hard walking both of them at the same time. I have a new pit mix with blue eyes. I call him T-Blue, and he's too young to walk. Once he gets a little older.. I will be walking him, and training him how to walk the right way.. Not to walk me, but to walk with me.. I had BOBO trained like that once, but that's out the window.

As for walking the boys... I have to load them up, and take them to the park to walk them. That's the only way I can walk them without other dogs trying to come and fight them. The last time that happen.. I had to pay for some damn Vet bills.. And my god was with me at all times.. He's dog ran over, and jumped in my pits face, and he reacted with one hell of a bite and shake. Now I have to carry a stick to knock the other dogs back from my dogs. I hate that.

 

I just did my to-do-list for tomorrow and it's looking rather long. I plan to work 1/2 day and compensate for the last day on Thanksgiving (since it's not a holiday for us). Hopefully I can do the ASAP things tomorrow (should be able to). And then do some stepper , maybe some ST as well...hmmm...

Had a lovely late lunch/early dinner today : sea food salad! :)

-- 2 cups iceberg lettuce

-- 1 cup grated carrot

-- 1 cup sliced cucumber

-- 1 tsp olive oil; 1 tbl spoon balsamic vinegar

-- 250 grams sea food (66 kcal/100g)

-- sprinkle of dill and parsley

total cal count: 263 cal

yesterday I had Greek salad (iceberg, cucumber, tomato, red pepper, 50g feta)

So I'm not worried abt the eating part...i know I do well. I just need to add more workouts. At 120-130 lbs you cannot expect to lose weight just by eating correctly - sigh

That's the truth. You have to bust your ass some where to lose some weight. It's not all about eating right. If that was the case. Then we all would be just eating right, and letting the pounds roll off. I hate reading these blogs.. You know the ones that says.. I lost 52 pounds in 12 weeks, and I didn't eat right or exercise. Yeah! Those lies makes me sick.. Who wants to pop all day long to lose weight. And you have to do some type of workout with those fake diets.. Cabbage Soup diet.... A girl friend of mines went on that diet, and the rest of us had to ask her to stop coming around. We couldn't deal with the gas. She had to take Gas X for a long time after she stop that fake diet. Did she lose weight? YEAH! And then gain every pounds plus 10 more back..

..and no, I wasn't talking abt fads. that's another story. I never tried fads mostly b/c i haven't "dieted" per se...when i was 18 i lost 20 lbs just by eating fruits and veggies and moving a lot (played basketball, walked a lot, hiked a lot) and kept those off until my grandfather got ill (I was 21). Then I met my husband and he moved in wt me (we weren't married, just living together). Then I graduated univ and started a desk job. All combined led to my HW ever.

When I was 165 lbs I did lose the first 10 lbs just by eating correctly. But I also started to incorporate exercise. Got a mini stepper and dumbbells. Also, we also walk everywhere , we don't have a car. So that's a good thing lol

For me the warm seasons - spring, summer, fall - are easy b/c we play a lot of tennis, go hiking and usually are way more active. Winter is a bit crappy b/c I cannot always find the veggies I want and my exercise is limited.

BUT I've been through 1 winter already since I started to lose weight and i haven't gained weight . Actually I lost. So I'm sure this winter will be rather easy.

 

I was talking fad diets. I mean.. It's always something new, and everyone.. I mean everyone questions if it's good or not. I know! I'm one of them, and then I have to remind myself about my friend and her Cabbage Soup diet. The one my mother wanted to try. Telling my girlfriend to get her a copy of it so she can try it. No! I lost weight doing the good old.. No meats No bread, and no exercise once in my life, and it did give me a lost of 20 pounds. That was 10 years ago. LOL!

But no.. I brought fad diets in the conv....

They just makes me madder than hell when people. My friend that are still my friends.. When they want to try one.. Like this.. Tea or something that is on the market now.. One of my friend said.. She order it once it popped up.

No research on the stuff, and if it would work.. One girls story had her hooked, and the product was sold to another nut case.. My friend kerry, and she will try anything to lose 10 damn pounds.. Anything..... I've told her.. Laps around the track with me 3 times a week, and eating right, and those 10 pounds will come off. She's working on losing 10 at a time. We go to the gym together, and we enjoy or workouts, and its funny at times to see her sweat..

I know that's mean, but she told me.. I never sweat.. HA! Her butt is sweating now. My trainer gave her a once over for free.. And said. You go to the desk and upgrade your package to the trainer package, and I will work you like you never been worked before 2 days a week. She's thinking about it... I think she's going to pass on that.

[blushes] I'm pretty much in the same do-anything-to-lose-10-lbs crowd....and yes, i've thought abt teas and coffees and even pills but NEVER fell for them. I know better. One good thing is that I use BCP and the weigh loss pills are proven to interact wt the BCP. I care more abt not getting pregnant at this moment than using a weight loss pill, thank you

I do drink green tea but not for its "fat loss" properties. I like it and it's filled wt antioxidants. So that's healthy. Yes, I've noticed an increased weight loss when I use it BUT generally I drink it after my workouts...so there you have it lol

I'm really strick wt my diet when I'm in the weight loss phase but now I try to be more relaxed and move to maintenance. I hover around 129-130 lbs lately after being down to 122 at one point - and I know that loss WAS NOT healthy!

So today I did 25 min on the stepper and burned 265 cals! YAY! I'm cooking lunch for hubby but I'm not touching it (mashed potatoes and grilled pork). I'm going to make a salad again for me. Maybe sea food again. We'll see...I'm hungry though so I should think fast lol

Yeah I know what you mean. Green tea is good, and I drink the stuff all the time. I drink it in phases you know. When I have desire for it.. I do have it, and once that phase for the green tea is over.. I got back to my sugar free singles, and I really do love them.

Everyone, and I mean everyone has gone for the 10 pounds weight loss. Then they get down to.. Maybe I will try to lose 10 pounds a month. When I first started to lose weight again. I lost 7 damn pounds in a week, and was so happy about it, then the fear of gaining it back settled in, and then... I was watching every damn thing like a mad man in a lab making his first woman- cause he's never had a woman.. LOL

I was like that mad man, because.. I never in my life dropped 7 pounds on my on in a week without all the damn.. Tricks and gimmicks.

I never thought about the properties of the green tea like that. I just love the stuff when I want it.

Thanksgiving is coming up in a few days, and all I can think about is a jump start on heading off the gain..LOL

I didn't have such goals. I just plugged along but now that I ONLY have the last 10 lbs to lose it's getting a bit annoying. I've been battling them for months!

The most I lost 7 lbs in 2 weeks, right when I started to lose weight. other than that, i stuck to 3-4 lbs A MONTH ...in Sept I dropped 9 lbs but only because i was so sad when hubby left on the business trip that i didn't eat for almost a week. And I knew I would gain it back...

So now it's back to exercising more. My weekly goal is 600 cal from cardio and I might just make it 800 cal or more...we'll see. Hubby's off on Fri and Sat this week so I make sure to take Sat off as well since I will be done wt making up for the day I didn't work while away. So for this gal, next weekend is a FULL weekend off, which also means I can work out more :) HeHe


I was looking at my tea collection and I badly need to get new stuff. I have 2 varieties of green tea - both which i have to brew myself-, a citrus tea - a blend of citrus fruits - and a nice mixed berries tea...but i'm running low on all. both me and hubby drink a lot of tea (brewed) either at home or when we go out. So i'm always on the lookout for something....I want to get something wt cinnamon ...hmmm

my b-day is coming up soon and the only thing I'm on the lookout now is something fitness related that I need - cause hubby will surely want to give me something :)

 

What's the price range for the B day gift. If it's a heavy one, then go for an elliptical, and if it's a cheap deal.. Go for a few workout outfits like sweats and hoodies.. That's what I asked for on my B-Day.. I didn't get it, but I did ask. I got a betty boop watch.. I wanted that too... But I sure can use some more yoga pants and sweats.. To Ebay I go..

I don't want an eliptical, I have my stepper. I need a mat actually to do my floor exercises. We don't have "ranges" and I know hubby would get me what i want but i prefer to tell him to get me something cheaper this year. Last year I got the stepper for Christmas.
