Hello everyone, here is the Group Plan Layout.

I will be closing this after I get my first 25. I think we can get to know each other a lot better if we keep it small. It hasn't grown as big as I thought it would over night, but I am looking for more people to join.

So, 25 is the number of people I'm looking for.

As for weigh'ns. I would like to get that ball rolling as well.

Every Monday will be our weigh'n day. Starting Monday 8th.

I  also want us to share our plans for the month ahead.

Focus points will be giving monthly.

This month Focus points will be.

Water 60oz to 80oz a day.
2 Fruits per day. " To cut down on sugar cravings."
1 salad per day and Steamed Veggie. "We need veggies in our diet."
Chewing gum. To deal with those no no cravings. Just chew gum if you know you ate something just 10 mins ago. I always grab fruit- but gum does work.
Cardio every day, and resistance training twice a week.
And share your feelings when you feel you are going to jump the wagon. We need to share so we can help each other.

What is your one goal for the month? " No matter what you choose, work on that one goal for the month. It really pays off."

My one goal for the month is to get back into my cardio workout.

This is a start.

Congrats to you.. Glad you got your workout in. Mines is coming later tonight. LOL

I'm still losing the holiday pounds.. 2 more to go.. :)

Happy Friday, Everyone!  I just wanted to check in and let you all know that I am expecting a loss this week!  I have been doing very well with sticking to healthy meals and snacks as well as exercising everyday.  I hope that you all are making progress as well.  We have just under 3 weeks to get this done and it would be great to see everyone walk away with some weight loss, inches lost, muscle gain, or all of the above.  I am cheering for you all.  Have a great weekend!

I think I am going to take this on into the new year. We been battling it out. It's rough isn't it, but we can keep on going, because we can do it. BUT! I'm not going into the new year with.. I'm going to lose weight.. NOPE! I'm doing that already. So I guess I will go into the new year with.. I'm going to eat clean more often. LOL

hey hey..... been gone for a while... haven't weighed in about a week. My son had his tonsils and adenoids removed on wednesday, so i spent the beginning of the week, working my azz off to prepare for the next seven i would be gone from the office. The surgery went well, but my son had a reaction to the anesthesia as it began to wear out and come out of his system, it made him crazy sick and he wasnt keeping any fluids down..... so we spent the night in the children's hospital. He was good by morning, craving mashed potatoes for some odd reason..... at the children's hospital it is all about making the kids feel comfortable so lucky for him mashed potatoes were available at 8am. He had mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, apple sauce and sprite.... he ate every bite and kept it down, so we were discharged. Today he still only wants mac and cheese and mashed potatoes, but whatever as long as he is eating right!

I am hoping my mother will come over and look after him for me for an hour or two so i can get a workout in! if not i am really watching what i eat, dropped my intake to 1400 instead of 1800 since i havent worked out in about a week either!!!

I agree Lynn we need to take this group on into the new year!!!!

I will start the new group in Motivation... I'm only going to take in 15 people.. Well 13, because Yella is a YAY! And so am I. No more after that. I hate it when groups fall apart.

But this is one thing I've learned... U have to be accountable for yourself. If the group thins out or not. U must be accountable for your own success.

YELLA! You have a strong little man there.. You keep up the good Mama work. The scales will wait on you.. Just take your time, and take care of your baby boy. If you make it to the gym or not. You know what you can do in your own home. Stay focus Girl, and I'm happy he's alright. Ya'll are in my prayers..

I'm going to start the sign ups in Motivation, and take it over into games and challenges. I'm thinking about this as a title.. Tell me what you think.

Looking for serious people only.. TO START THE NEW YEAR WEIGHT LOSS OFF RIGHT.

We are looking for a few good women and men to join us in our on going support group. I already have a few people with me now, and is looking for a few more to join us.

How does that sound? If you all like the sample... Let me know.

Well, it's going to be on going for us. But closed to the rest. Until we get to where we need to be, and then I am going to keep the thread going for support for the others and would like for everyone who has reached there goals to motivate others in doing the same.. Helping them along the way. We should report in twice a week.. Once on Monday, and then again that Friday. Friday should be good for everyone. We could use a Friday weigh in as a way to make sure. We don't cheat or gain anything over the weekend. Hum! I'm going to have to work on the bells and whistles a little.

Or should we just stick with Monday....

I'll get the bugs worked out..

I'm so IN :) I know I want to lose the rest of the lbs and finally enter maintanennce next year but since my weight went up and down like crazy , i don't know how "serious" I am lol

I'm game for continuing. I know I haven't been a frequent chatter during the week, but like to have the Monday morning accountability to check weekend weight gains. I'm generally 2-3 lbs higher on Mon than Fri morning - sigh.

Had a good week. Got down to 161.6 on Fri morning - 7 lbs from Sunday morning - lots of water weight from traveling. A new low. Didn't hold it over the weekend tho. Ran my 5k race according to the plan I had laid out. Walked across the start line to keep things in check and ran negative splits. Only problem was that there was no 2 mi marker so I missed a pick up the pace point and was 1:30 slower than pb (my only other 5K). Will pick up some kind of distance measuring device b4 next race. Probably a Nike+ since its cheaper and lighter than gps units. Although the Timex hrm/gps is nice for keeping track of he versus time. Have to think on it. I pulled something in lower rt back/hip getting an apple (of all things) out of the refrig b4 the race. Killed me all afternoon. Didn't bother me during the race.

This weeks plan: Take it easy because of hip problem. Mostly cross training, stretching, heat rubs and naproxen sodium.

 

Goals for the month of Dec:

Stick to my eating plan with min deficit of 500 cal/day - start losing weight again

Sun 12/7 5K race goal - Missed goal, finished in 38:57.

Maybe hit 160 and stay there - have to break the set point somehow.

Remember: We can do this!
Never give up!, Never look back!, Can do!

Good to know that you are staying for round 2 Bob.

 I think you should take some measurements Bob once a month, and see what your inch loss is, and total that up. I think I am going to add that int he group. I will be working on that group thing today, and get it set up this week. Since we been in it for so long, and we are going to be taking the weight loss into the new year's.. I think I will call the group that. Taking Weight loss into the New Year's... Join please.. I'm going to keep it small, and I am only looking for people who wants to do this.. Not say they are and pop out. We have a lot of that. No big deal. I'm thankful when they do show, and I'm thankful for the ones who has been here.

Me. Today......... I am 145.6 I'm up a pound. I have to really get down to business, and keep at it. This is a battle. Down some.. Up some... We are going to do it.

I am at 204 today which is a 3lb loss.  I am so happy to be back on track.  I am also proud of myself for choosing healthier options and smaller portions while eating out this weekend. 

I am totally into continuing the group, but I would like us to keep some sort of challenge portion to it...something to keep us goal oriented.  Whatever you all decide to do, I will be right there with you, providing that I am informed of the new group's final name and link.  Wink

I'm a NAY for the new group. I just don't think I'm keeping up my end and don't want you to exclude someone else on my  behalf.
