Hello everyone, here is the Group Plan Layout.

I will be closing this after I get my first 25. I think we can get to know each other a lot better if we keep it small. It hasn't grown as big as I thought it would over night, but I am looking for more people to join.

So, 25 is the number of people I'm looking for.

As for weigh'ns. I would like to get that ball rolling as well.

Every Monday will be our weigh'n day. Starting Monday 8th.

I  also want us to share our plans for the month ahead.

Focus points will be giving monthly.

This month Focus points will be.

Water 60oz to 80oz a day.
2 Fruits per day. " To cut down on sugar cravings."
1 salad per day and Steamed Veggie. "We need veggies in our diet."
Chewing gum. To deal with those no no cravings. Just chew gum if you know you ate something just 10 mins ago. I always grab fruit- but gum does work.
Cardio every day, and resistance training twice a week.
And share your feelings when you feel you are going to jump the wagon. We need to share so we can help each other.

What is your one goal for the month? " No matter what you choose, work on that one goal for the month. It really pays off."

My one goal for the month is to get back into my cardio workout.

This is a start.

Hi Vamp, Good to see you. Cardio everyday and resistance 3X a week... Good plan, and eating less of refined sugar. I am working on that.. So far so good.

OOPS, missed the first weigh-in...I will try to be on time next week!

Larien, you are here and that is what counts with this group. I'm not going to hold it over your head if you don't get here in time for the weigh'n report, just get here when you can. I know we are all busy people, and it's hard to report in. Thats why I picked monday as a weigh in..

This is a new add for everyone in this group.. If you want to do your weigh report on a Sunday- then do it. You are more than welcome to do so.

So how is everyone.

I am doing great I must say. I worked out good Monday and Tuesday. No pain no gain right. WHO in the hell came up with that? Who cares, I'm not living by it. I'm just running my race, and doing what is best for me... I wish you all nothing but good luck, and like I said before.. TIPS are WELCOME HERE!

Share them if you have any tips on anything.

Major challenge of the day.  Food day at work!  Cinnamonny nut bread, maid rites, weanies, salted nut roll bars, cake, crab rangoon dip, taco dip, taco salad, potatoes au gratin.....(yeah, you crying with me?) 

I done good.  I ate a thumb sized piece of salted nut roll and a thum sized piece of cinnamon nut loaf and walked away...nearly in tears but I did it.  And now I'm going to spin class. 

Whee!

Lynn, Thanks for helping me out with the fruit question.  I think by the end of the week I will be tired of raisins so I am going to go with oranges next week. 

All, I was just thinking that I didn't work out yesterday because of my busy schedule, but I realized that part of that schedule did get me moving and my heart pumping.  Some co-workers and I joined a social sport club and have been playing kickball.  We are in the super-social division which means that we are not competitive in the least.  However, running the bases and chasing down the balls that tend to fly over my head and just out of reach burns some calories.  I joined in order to add more activity into my life and I am having a blast.  All of this to say that there are enjoyable forms of exercise.  (Plus, after you pay the $50 fee, you feel compelled to get your money's worth.)  My tip is to check out social types of sports and physical activities that you enjoy to make working out seem more like playing.

I hope everyone's week is going well.  Only two more days left until the weekend!  Anyone doing anything fun?  I'm going to a football game and a band classic competition.     

i HATE refined sugar! it's pactically impossible to avoid. i dont even usually think about it. grr. thats ok, like lynn said, so far so good!

wow, good job antika! that takes loads of self control...lol.
i love nut rolls. i definitely left those at home when i moved out...lol.

So, I always do my weekly weigh-ins on Thursdays, so here it is:

134 today--down 1 pound! Thought for sure I sabotaged myself this weekend at a potluck :) Thank goodness. I just started using this podcast for running intervals this morning--kicked my butt, but am excited about it, we'll see how it goes. Also, personal triumph happened yesterday: I fit into a size 6 jeans!! That has NEVER happened to me before!! I'm getting so close to my goal now, just a few more pounds, and a few more inches here and there!!

lynnhaslost, can You put me on the waiting list?:) I am desparate for motivation to get started again...

Efeiring, I am going to put a T by your name because you weigh in on Thursdays. I guess I need to take a vote on what day is best for you all, and work around it. And a size 6 you go girl.. You do the damn thing.. Keep it going. One pound down.. COOL!

Okay, what day is best for you all. I know I picked monday, but I want to work with everyone in this group.... I will give some days you can weigh in.

Lynn- Mondays work fine with me but I can be flexible.

Any day is fine for me, reall. it's just a question of remembering to post the results. I generally get on the scale every morning.

And I still haven't managed to get my butt to the gym yet. I'm going to go running tonight to make up for it!

lynnhaslost, thank you so much. I feel much better and I will try my best to count cals again. This is the first challenge for me in a VERY long time. Last time I stepped on the scale was two weeks ago. I don't know my current weight is.

I will try to go to the gym tomorrow to know my current weight.

Now, what do you mean by " focus point"?

I would like to keep my weigh ins on Monday. 

Okay, we have some who is with any day so far.. I think I am going to wait on the people to tell me what works best for them. I would like for everyone to see the progress made with the weights, and Right now.. I don't know how I would like to do it, but if your weight is a monday weight.. I will know, and if you weigh any day.. I think I am going to put a ? mark by day, because it's when ever. I just would like this group to be happy with what ever and how ever they do what they do.

Now! Focus points are.. Watching Sodium, workout more ect.... Just somethings you are going to try to work on.. That's what your focus points will be.. If you don't own a scale and you choose to use the gyms scales.. Let me know. Reason why I say this is because................. You may not be able to report weights on Monday.

Just trying to make this group easy for each and every one of us. I am sticking with Monday. I also weigh on Wednesdays as well, just to see if I lost anything.. Nothing is gone.. I'm still holding the same weight, but hey..... I'm giving it my best damn shot..

i weight twice a week.... usually fridays.... to motivate myself to behave over the weekend.... and the on mondays to see how i did over the weekend....

 

i think i might be down a lb or two tomorrow.... i feel like i have lost and i have had a cal def of 800-1000 every day this week.....

my focus points.... staying away from enriched/processed breads..... drinking skim milk vs. 2% and free range eggs......... i edited my settings and it looks like i may have been over estimating my daily needed intake.... so i have been working to keep my daily calories at 1300 to 1550.....

this week i had two days at 1500, one day at 1300 and three days i did 1700.... the days i did 1700 were days i worked both in the morning and in the evening....

i am really proud of myself this week.... hope it pays off at the scale tomorrow morning!!!

I really like that idea of weighing in Monday and Friday.  Weekends are definitely a challenge for me. 

Kinda weird... If I'm losing weight, it motivates me to stay on track.  But if I'm gaining, I feel discouraged and don't stick to "the plan".  Strange eh?

Okay, my Friday weigh in is 142.0!  Lost a pound and a half!

I'll stick to Sunday weigh in , so I'll check back on Sun ladies:)
