New 15-20 pounds Weight Loss Support Group CLOSED!
Hi everyone,
I thought I would start a new support group since I only see older ones that have a lot of people in it already.
This could be a nice way for a bunch of people to come in and talk about their weight loss journey. My goal is to lose 15 pounds by August 1st.
We can post the the meals we have had, what excercises we have done, share recipes, tricks that have helped you in the past, etc.
I will take all the support I can!

Hello, my name is Rebecca.I need to lose way more than 20 pounds but you have to start some where right? I have been gone for quite a while and have recently logged back into CC to try and lose my weight for good. I need a lot of motivation and I hope we can help each other out. I just started my new diet yesterday.I'm strictly counting my calories and exercising my butt off with a new exercise regimen I purchased.It is called slim in 6.It is guaranteed to help you lose weight in 6 weeks.With the crazy exercises they have me doing I'm pretty sure I will lose my weight.I'm consuming 1200-1400 calories a day.I plan to work out 6 days a week for 1 1/2 hrs. My exercising time will increase weekly as my exercising regimen gets more harder. I hope I can take it. Wish me luck!!

jellybelly7: I've been wanting to try slim in 6 but I just refuse to buy it! I've spend so much money on pills, diet food, dvds that im just broke lol. I'm just waiting for someone to sell it on ebay for 5 bucks!
Your workout plan and calories seem pretty good. what are your stats?
I'm in! My name is Mary, I'm 20, 5'3 and currently 124 lbs. I have a small frame, so I'm aiming to get down to 110 lbs by August 1st too!
I work out at least an hour a day, exercising isn't really a problem for me, I just like food way too much and need to have a bit more self control!

I think what we should do is put our stats to begin with. We can keep on taking members till sunday and then close it so we have a nice small group.

Hello! I'm Twila and I'm just coming back as well. I got to within 5 pounds of my goal weight (170 to 150) using this site a few months ago. But, now I've creeped back up to 161! Ah! And I had half a pizza and ice cream today, lol, so it's not getting any better. Too bad I'm getting married in October!
So I'm back and need some motivation to get down to 145 again which is the weight I was at when I started dating my future hubby. =)
Also, I'm trying to get him to lose some weight so that he feels better about himself so I'd be interested in exchanging some recipes. I never know what to cook and truth be told, I'm not so great at it.
Plus, I know some of the pitfalls because I've already done this. =) Honestly, calorie counting is the ONLY way I will EVER try to lose weight AGAIN! It rocks and you can do it! :D
So put plainly: My goal of 145 is by September 1st (so I have time for dress alterations.) I'd like to lose a pound a week so if I weighted 161 this morning, I'd like to be 160 next Monday. =)

count me in! I am 44 and the pounds dont come off easy! I was at a plateau for the longest time at 145-146 last year I gained horribly and at the beginning of the year I was at 154. I am now down to 144
I would like to see 130 before I am done
Oh, me too, me too! Am I too late? I hope not! I am new to this site, as well as to calorie counting in general! I used to just cut carbs, but working in an office setting with vendors bringing oh so many yummies, I don't have the willpower for it! I've found it to be alot easier to watch calories and have found a love for it!

Monday is weigh in day! I weighed myself today (I weigh myself almost every day...so bad) and im still at 146...very depressing!
I am SO in...I have got to lose this blasted weight!
Tin...you and I have pretty much the same stats...I'm 5'7" I started at 180, got down to 138 and now I am back to 158 and climbing.
I have to get back to the 130's before October...for no one else or nothing else but for me!
I have been going to the gym every weekday for the last two weeks...I only missed yesterday because it was my little girls b-day and I took the day off work to spoil her rotten!
I don't know my exact weight, but I will weigh tomorrow and post again

I've been on CC for almost two months and have lost 15 lbs so far. I think that having a support group would be great!I have no idea what my goal weight is, but starting with 15-20 works for me!

I actually want to lose 25lbs, but a goal of 15lbs by 8/1 is a great start.

Actually, this is the first time I put solid numbers and dates to my goal. I'm really hoping this helps motivate me.
Today: meals mapped out (including going to Chipotle for a burrito bowl!), 1.5 hour belly dance lesson, and either a 1 hour walk or a 45 minute run w/15 minutes of walking.
I also think I need to post on here more to keep my motivation and discipline going.

Lunch: Turkey Sandwich 350 cals
Dinner: Grilled chicken and veggies 400 cals
Snacks: Tea, fruits
Exercise: 1 hour of cardio
Ive just had my dinner..well very light though..
just a cuppa soup + whole meal pitta bread .
I had 2 fruits ..1 morning time..and now other one..trying to take my 5-a-day portiom of fruits.
my dinner will be after my workout, properly a grilled chicken breast with salad .

Imcoolsoni- Hello I'm 26, 5'8, 186 lbs, GW 132. Yeah I was hesitant at first only because the sim in 6 was 78 dollars but I was still sold. Ditch the diet pills they will only work for so long. I have spent so much money on pills,work out video,exercise equipment but I don't know what it was but the slim in 6 just seemed so much different and made sense. OMG how sore I have been after working out.Like my whole body is sore it is crazy. I have never felt my abs feel this sore.I feel great though. Today will be day 4 and I am feeling amazing already. My soreness is subsiding and I sweat my butt off doing my execises. I'm really enjoying this program I was so bored doing the treadmill and stationary bike.
I love chipotle too until I found out that the burrito I always would get was way over 1000 calories.:-(. I'm craving sushi so bad.lol.Mmmm the eel roll sounds amazing.
rntkcrawform-OMG so there is hope for me? You said you started at 180 and got down to 138 thats fantastic how did you lose your weight?? I know how easy it is to gain weight,I'm like a yoyo.I use to be 128 lbs then I went to 158 than back to 139 then 167and now I'm big as ever at 186 my highest weight.I need all the help I can get I need to get down to the 130's.
-So I'm eating roughly 1200 cals a day and I'm still hungry at night.Night time is the time I get all my horrible cravings.:-( Does anyone have any suggestions on good low calorie foods that are fullfilling?

I'm down to my last 20 or so pounds to go and I find it has gotten much harder!! At my highest I was 208 pounds 7 years ago and have been gradually losing since then (with 2 beautiful kids in that time too).

I have been on CC off and on and find that it really helps when I track my daily intake and activities. I hope this group will keep me on target!! I have lots of food sensitivities now and processed foods are high on the list so it has been somewhat a blessing in disguise.... so pretty much everything you will see me eat is all natural or from a whole food store like Trader Joes.
Today's schedule:
Exersize: It is an off workout day for me.
Breakfast: 2 hard boiled eggs, 8 oz. Orange Juice, and Decaf coffee with bad creamer for the drive to work :(
Mid-morning snack: 1/2 cup of blackberries
Lunch: Turkey and Provalone Sandwich on Whole Wheat Bread with lettuce and tomato and a little bit of mayo with 2 crunchy pickles - yeah
Mid-Afternoon snack: 1/2 cup of roasted almonds lightly salted - yummy
I don't know what dinner is yet, but I don't snack after that anymore!!!!!
