Hi everyone,

I thought I would start a new support group since I only see older ones that have a lot of people in it already.

This could be a nice way for a bunch of people to come in and talk about their weight loss journey.  My goal is to lose 15 pounds by August 1st.

We can post the the meals we have had, what excercises we have done, share recipes, tricks that have helped you in the past, etc.

I will take all the support I can!

as of today i am 220 pound

i ate in breakfast beans with salad and 1 boiled eggs, then an apple snack, at lunch i had fruit salad and nuts.

this should make about 600 calorie so far,

about the exercise i should go to gym today for one hour cardio and weight lifting for legs and bench, but i am so tired i think i will not go but still not sure i will keep you updated

Weighed in this morning and was 176, which means I lost nothing. I'm not excited about it, but I'm happy it's not more considering I had a BBQ on Friday and then went camping this weekend and ate things I wouldn't normally eat.We went with 3 other groups of people and each group was in charge of certain meals/snacks, so it was kind of up in the air. I didn't overeat by any means, it just wasn't the healthiest food.

Hoping to lose 1-2 lbs this week...gym tonight, Thursday, and Saturday for sure.....will find some activity to fill in on the other days!

Ok, no weight loss since last week, but I ate much healthier all weekend long. I managed to get a run in on Friday, and since I'm towards the end of my couch-to-5K training, I was proud to have run 32 minutes straight! I didn't get any other exercise in last week due to scheduling and weather, but I have to run several days this week as it is my last week of training before I run my 5K on Saturday! Also, I'm on an exercise challenge starting today where I have to get 10 miles in (running, walking, biking, rollerblading, etc.) and 10 hours of exercise per week. That should bump things up quite a bit.

Continuing to eat healthy. That helps a lot. I have been packing my lunches for work, and I've been working on eating healthier alternatives when I go out to eat. Since I started late last week (I think Thursday), I'm not worried about not having the scale move over the weekend. I'm more considering today to be my starting week.

Tonight I run, at least 30 minutes, and I think I'll walk an extra 45-60 minutes as well.

right so today:

breakfast:boiled egg,2 quorn sausage,toast,tea

was out all day so didnt have lunch,....was marving for dinner

dinner: potato,baby corn,quorn chicken style pieces.

snack: def going to have popcorn.

went on 45 walk, and shopped all day....hah that counts right?...yeh

hav loads of soup and stuff made for this week so should be good!

woo hoo! my first weigh in  at 143 which means I didnt loose last week but I didnt gain either  Smile

So today was a pretty good day. I went for a walk, not a long one but it was something. When the heat index is 110', too much outside just isn't healthy! I went over by not too much today, so I'm pretty happy!

Mid-Morning Snack: 1 cup Honey Nut Cheerios (dry), small apple

Lunch: 1/2 med red bell pepper w/ 1 tbsp Neufchatel cream cheese and 1 tbsp hummus & Veggie Pot Pie

Dinner: Spaghetti & Meatballs. 1 cup spaghetti, 4 tbsp Prego 100% Natural Sauce, 6 meatballs and 2 pieces garlic toast!

I am definitely full. Keep up the good work everybody!

Congrats to livsmomma and imcoolsoni...WOW...hard to top this week!  I'm very jealous!

Got on the scale and haven't gained or lost...I know I should be happy, but I feel like I should really be losing at this point.  I have been working out every weekday for over 2 weeks now and even if I hadn't changed my eating habits (which I have), I should be losing...so what's the problem?  I just don't get it!

Going to try kicking it up a notch...started the 30DS today after work in addition to going to the gym in the morning.  I know I can't be real good for the next two weekends and I don't know that I want to be, have a lot going on.  But this means I have to be extra good for the next two weeks from M-F!

Congrats to everyone for sticking with it!  We can do this...we already are!

Seems like everyone is doing awesome.  I feel a little down today.  I think it's because my husband lost 10 pounds in 1 week. IT's JUST NOT FAIR! I want to throw a blob of butter in his dinner without telling him. :-) Just kidding.

So today I went to the gym in the morning. 30 minutes walk to the gym. (100 cals) At the gym urned 500 cals. and then walk back 100 cals. Does that sound about right that a 30 minute walk would be a 100 cals? I walk pretty fast but i dont know.

Breakfast: waffles 140 cals

Lunch: I'm not sure yet.

Dinner: Soup (about 200 cals) with a piece of bread (100 cals)

Snacks: 2 cups of tea with milk (combined 200 cals) 2 peaches (60 cals) and im not sure what else i will eat.

Can we start putting calories next to the foods we eat? that way i can steal your meal ideas and know how many calories there are!

imcoolsoni! don't let yourself get down about it! you'll get to your goal too! mmmm butter... sorry, got distracted!

I'm going to walking abit today, it's supposed to be about 100' so I don't know how long it'll last. And adding calories seems like a great idea to me!

Mid Morning Snack: Apple & 5 pretzel crackers - 125 cal combined (55 - apple, 70 - crackers)

Lunch: 2 cups salad mix - 15 cal, 2 tbsp dressing - 148 cal, 1/2 red pepper - 19 cal  Total: 182

Afternoon snack - dry roasted peanuts, no salt. 1/5 cup - 170 cal

Dinner: Herb baked fish - 260 cal   Fresh salad - 33 cal Thousand Island Dressing - 120 cal, 1 cup rice - 190   Total: 603 cal

Total left: 120! I get a cookie! (well, maybe 1/2 a cookie)

Hi All! Sorry I missed the weigh ins yesterday :( I took a personal day to clean my house of all things - double :(!!!

So as usuall I can't keep track of my calories and such on weekends so I'm back to my routine now. This weekend was a rather bad one too because we ate dinner at my mother-in-laws both nights! Although I did exhaust myself at the Museam of Natural History Sunday so maybe that helped a little LOL!!

Weigh-In: Last week: 151.5 lbs - This week: 150.5 lbs (Goal weight 130) - I've been at this for a while so I know I won't get any of those initial good weight losses some of you are seeing :( but I should average 1.5 pounds a week so maybe next week it will be 2 pounds instead of 1!!

Exersize: I didn't exersize this morning... all the scrubbing I did yesterday did me in! Tomorrow!!!

Breakfast: 2 eggs scrambled and 12 oz. oj = 360 cal

Morning snack: 1 cup of blueberries = 80 cal

Lunch: Greek Salad = 120 cal, All natural salad dressing = 150 cals, and my cheat for the day... PopChips at 120 calories

Afternoon Snack: 1/4c Roasted Almonds = 200 cal

Dinner (for the drive home): Turkey and Provalone Sandwich w/ lt. mayo = 350 cal., a glass of milk = 80 cal

That is a total of about 1460 and my daily goal is 1500 - yeah!

Hello everyone.I'm so sore today.I started phase 2 for my exercise routine. I did a 50 min cardio work out that hit every part of my body, burned 500 cals, 30 min cadio express work out burned 300 cals, 12 min ab routine, 15 min stetch routine.I'm beat and this was yesterday!!! In about an hour I will do this all over again. I can do it, I can do it.Looks like everyone is doing pretty good.Good Job everyone!!!

Breakfast- cereal with soy milk-160 cals and banana-110= 270 cals

That all I have had so far I'm planning to have subway for dinner and maybe a light snadwich for lunch??? Not sure yet will report later today:-)

I think it is a good idea to put cals on our food because I get stumped on what fullfilling foods I can eat without going over my cals for the day.

so i feel so full today! trust me im not one of those girls that say "oh no that is too much food for me" I can definitly eat! But I dont know why today I just feel super full.  This is what I had:

1 Plum on my way to the gym (30 cals)

Breakfast: 2 whole wheat waffles with sugar free jam (130 for both waffles and 20 c for 1 tb of jam)

Lunch: A bowl of cheerios (200 cals it was a big bowl!)

Dinner: trader joes tomato soup (100) and i added some veggies (100) with 1 pita bread (210) and a side salad with feta cheese (135) Thats 545 all together

Snacks: a handful of blueberrys (83 cals) 2 cups of tea with milk (200 cals) 1 slimbear ice cream sandwich (100 cals)

1338 calories in total.  I went to the gym in the morning and burned 700 cals. 

I just dont know why im so full!!!!!!!!!

Don't give up eggs!!! I have now lost a total of about 60 pounds (gradually over years after gaining 80 in my early 20's!!) and I couldn't have done it without protein in the morning and exercise! Every time I switch to a granola bar or something I seam to stop losing weight and I feel weak :( I usually eat 2 eggs each day, but on those days I want to add something else high in calories, like an avocado, I eat 1. I tried hemp protein smoothies with fruit and milk but it takes too much time during the weak to prepare and clean up so I treat myself occasionally on the weekends (I don't recommend hemp protein by itself... it's like chewing grass - yuck). Everybody is different, but my experience is: Protein + exercise = weight loss :)

Gotta go to bed now :) Sleep for at least 7 hours also seams to make a difference now too... I should have gone to bed an hour ago - yikes!!

my weight for today is 219, lost one since monday, thats great, hopefully i wont gain it again as it always happenes with me lately.

played soccer yesterday for about 90 mins, and my calorie intake was 1800

today, i had in breakfast grilled chicken sandwich about 355 Kcal. should go to gym later today

I got some walking in today! YAY! It rained yesterday so I wasn't able to do much, but it stayed clear today! I'm going to go swimming tonight as well for about an hour. Here's what the menu looks like for today!

Mid morning snack: handful of roasted almonds - 120 cal

Lunch: Tossed salad with  tbsp dressing - 192 cal, 1 cup honey nut cheerios, (actually Scooters, less calories!!!) = 120 cal  TOTAL: 312

Afternoon snack - 1/2 cup cheerios - 60 cal

Dinner: Crab & Veggie Linguine - 350 cal, and garlic bread - 200 cal

Went to the gym Monday and Wednesday night. Cardio and weights both nights. Gave the bike a try...I don't think I'll do that again! It killed my knees! I have knee issues to begin with so I learned that I should just stick to the treadmill and eliptical.

Weighed this morning and was down a little, not a good amount, but I'll take it! 175.2

Today sucks. Not for any particular reason, just one of those days. I gained 5 lbs in a day! Incredible how the body holds so much water. Oh well. It'll be gone soon! So here's what I've planned for today:

Breakfast: 1/2 everything bagel w/ 1/2 tbsp of Neufchatel Cream Cheese. Total: 203 cal

Lunch: 1 cup salad w/ 1/2 tbsp ranch - 58 cal & 1/2 serving crab linguine - 222 cal  TOTAL: 280 cal

Snack: 2 Reese's Peanut Butter cups: 176 cal

Dinner: Citrus Grilled Shrimp - 157 cal

I think I'm going to have rice with dinner, but I'm not sure yet. I still have about 400 cal to add in.

Just checking in. I haven't been doing so well with logging anything, but I've been eating fairly well and exercising regularly (though not as intensely as I would like). I've already seen the scale drop since Monday, but I'm not saying anything til after the weekend.

Hello everyone. I have been doing pretty good on my food intake sticking to 1200-1300 cals. I notice I'm waking up hungry everyday. Been keeping up with my exercises though I have to admit that it is tough exercising 6  times a week straight. I'm tired.:-( Today I'm not sure what I am going to eat it. Goodluck everyone today!!
