Hi everyone,

I thought I would start a new support group since I only see older ones that have a lot of people in it already.

This could be a nice way for a bunch of people to come in and talk about their weight loss journey.  My goal is to lose 15 pounds by August 1st.

We can post the the meals we have had, what excercises we have done, share recipes, tricks that have helped you in the past, etc.

I will take all the support I can!

Hi everyone! last week was a busy and overwhelming week for me!!! I did good with my eating, but not my exersize :( However, when I weighed in this morning I was 149.2 - yeah!!! Another pound bites the dust!

LW: 150.5

TW: 149.2

GW: 130!

It's been difficult finding food to eat now... last Wednesday my dr. informed me I am allergic to corn. Yes... corn. I have been chronically sick for many years with hives, headaches, sinus infections, bronchitis, joint pain, and ibs (TMI?). Well, after MANY, MANY different tests the lastest round of standard allergy tests came back with a corn allergy that has never been tested before. Corn is in EVERYTHING from corn itself to corn starch, and corn syrup, and MANY complicated additives like dextose, xanthun gum, acetic acid and like 100 more. It's even in common table salt because they use corn in the iodizing process!!! I am still overwhelmed :( The worst part is I think my almost 3 year old daughter has the same allergy :(!!!!

The good news is since I stopped eating food with those ingredients and using products with those ingredients last week, my symptoms have improved dramatically already and I feel much better! I don't even need my glasses to see the computer - weird! Fortunately I was already an ingredients list junkie so it wasn't a REALLY hard transition. I sure did want some popcorn yesterday though!! It also cost me uber amounts of money yesterday to buy corn free make-up.

It should make it even easier to lose weight when 99.9% of ALL processed foods have something in them I am allergic too -- thumbs up to that :) ...something positive!

hello all..long time since last time I logged on CC !

iam going mad here..my scale is driving me crazy..its never the same twice..on time iam 77kg the next iam 78.8 !

 have bought on normal scale..its much better now..these electro scale are rubbish !!

 

brimmyhop..welcome here , so yo are allergic from corn..waw thats good lol they are high in carb and i love them i wish i have it lol.

brimmyhop-I know eggs are good for you...i just went crazy on them and had like 6 in a day and a half......2 for lunch...2 after a night out...and 2 for breakfast......haha...

so weighed myself yesterday and im 128.....2lbs down!

god knows how.....with the amount of alcohol I drank over there.....eat very little tho....prob a sanwich a day..

so today:

lunch: mushroom soup,slice of wholegrain bread,nectarine,apple(350)

Dinner: stirfry:mushrooms,peppers,onion,beansprouts,m angetout,baby corn(300)

Snacks: yoghurt(96), popcorn(135)

 

 

Welcome back Carloil! Congatulations on losing weight on vacation!!!! I can't say I've EVER done that lol. When I went to the beach 3 weeks ago I gained 5 pounds Embarassed... gain it in one weekend and take 3 weeks to lose it grrrrrrr. I'm jealous you ate popcorn today - lol. I know what you meen about too many eggs!

So.. I'm still doing bad with the motivating myself to exercise in the morning Cry I can't wake up now that summer is here! I'm up way too late at night!!

Todays meals:

Breakfast = 1 Hardboiled egg, 8 oz. OJ (190)

Morning Snack = Almonds (170)

Lunch = Grilled Chicken and Brown/Basmati Rice blend (400)

Snacks = Banana, 1 c. Blueberries, Trader Joe's Yogurt (320) 2 Decaf Coffees (70)

Dinner = IDK yet??? something in the 300 calorie realm to get to my goal of 1450 Laughing Last night it was raw veggies and red pepper hummus.

So I probably won't be checking in until Monday again.... I'm going camping tomorrow over the 4th with dh and the kiddies - yeah! I hope I can lose weight on vacation this time lol! Lots of hiking so it's all together possible. 

Hi guys!

I have NOT counted my calories since Friday! My cousin got married so we had family over so i ate friday, saturday AND sunday.  I didnt count my cals cus i didnt make the food but I would have small portions.

And then i didnt bother counting yesterday or today cus this friday is my husbands cousins wedding! so the partying starts tomorrow.  But I will be controlling my portions.

I weighed myseld this morning and I was 146.5.  I was 145 last week so I didnt really lose weight :-(

I missed monday! oops. Well, on Monday, I weighed in at 142. I'm not at all concerned about the 2 lbs! It's TTOM and even though I went up 2, my jeans fit great! WOO HOO!

I haven't been counting my calories, but that's fine. I'm exercising more and eating relatively healthy, so good deal. I'm down to about 158. Woo hoo, 2 lbs, hopefully I can continue this through the holiday weekend.

It's Monday! I didn't want to miss it this time! This morning I weighed in at 139. And I've lost 3.5 inches! I'm so excited! Hopefully I can keep this up!

livsmomma: 3.5 inches!!! That is great! I need to lose about 4 inches to get back in my wedding dress from last year.  But i know i am not doing my exercises enough! What is your pattern with exercises?

So i am 144... I was 143 on thursday (I weighed myself thursday cus i knew i would be eating a lot over the weekend)  I ate a lot of bad foods over the weekend but small portions so hpefully couple of pounds are just water weight.

Today I had: tea for breakfast, smoothie for lunch, and a light veggie soup for dinner.  Trying to get rid of all the bad food!

Hopefully tomorrow ill be back to normal.

I don't really have a pattern of exercise! I know it sounds terrible, but I don't. My 3 yr old doesn't really understand that and by betime, I just don't have the extra energy. It might seem silly, but I get the most exercise by dancing with my daughter! She loves it and it's fun. That and we spend longer in the pool, and running around outside. Nothing set though. I do what I can, when I find time, but it isn't oftern!

Wow livsmomma 3.5 inches is awesome! I wish I had the same luck over the holiday Cry. I weighed myself on Wednesday morning and I was down to 148.8 and this morning I was back up to 152.3. I don't eat processed foods as a rule and it's hard to not when you are camping (smores-yum!). Well I am hoping it is a whole lot of water and it will come off as fast as it went on!!!

Imcool are you doing a detox? I have been thinking about trying a juicing detox but I don't have the time to make my own juices and I can't find a good juice bar around where I work.

I did 300 calories on the treadmill last night - yeah!

Today:

Breakfast was 1 egg, 12 oz OJ, and decaf coffee with milk

Morning snack was 1 oz. almonds and a small apple

Lunch is a small lamb chop and 1 c. rice

Afternoon snack is a Trader Joes strawberry yogurt

Dinner - Salad Tongue out 

 

brimmyhop: I suppose you could call it a detox. my husband does it once a week.  Usually monday's because of the junk we sometimes eat on the weekend.  So we have anything liquid.  So yesterday i had, tea, smoothies, and chicken broth but at night time i broke down and had a piece of bread :-)
