Hi all!

I'm Kim, I live in South Carolina. I just started Calorie Count today but I have used The Daily Plate in the past.

I am looking to loose about 75lbs. I started a gym at the end of August and I have changed my eating habits. I try to work out at least 4 times a week whether it be weights, cardio or some random class that is offered at the gym. Would love to go the personal trainer route but we just can't afford it right now so I'm on my own. So, if there are any tips and tricks anyone would like to share...feel free.

Any questions about me? Just ask *LOL*

Welcome to cc and congrats on wanting to change your life in a positive direction. I hope you get the support you're looking for. You don't need a PT to get fit but take advantage of any classes that your gym offers and don't underestimate the benefit of a nice walk :)

Hi Kim and welcome! I agree with chrissy, on the pt thing. I have lost to date 52.7 pounds on my own just going to the gym and finding different workout buddies. I really got into kickboxing and it's been a blast!  I build a strong support system and try to be as regular at the gym as you can be. Change it up and see what you like, and have fun , cause then it doesn't seem lik work!

Welcome to CC, Kim! Sounds like you're already a woman with a plan!

Chrissy1998 is right though, you don't need a PT to get fit.  Keeping active, walking the kids to school or the dogs around the neighborhood, window shopping at a local mall, taking salsa or ballroom classes with your partner, working in the yard, or taking advantage of workouts and classes at the gym will all help get you fit.

Find activities that you really enjoy but feel free to change them up every once in awhile to keep them fresh and you motivated -- and maybe enjoy the benefits of "cross-training!"

There's lots of great resources, groups and forums here on CC that can really help you on your way to your goals.

Good luck!

Cool
